Couldn't get this video to embed right, but it's a great
8 minutes of what you might see if you lived in Pompeii
the day Vesuvius erupted.
Great recreation!

yes, that is thank you Red.....one of the movies we have watched over and over is 'Dante's Peak' so we are somewhat familiar with what volcanoes can do and how fast things can change....pyroclastic clouds, etc...
I showed it to my son anyhow so he got a very 'realistic' view of one actual historical volcanic eruption. If I had the money to travel and europe wasn't such a mess, I would like to go there and see the uncovering/rebuilding of it....amazing how many things were covered and kept for the future to tell the story.

Me too, Kay, watched that movie numerous times, sides, I like Pierce BRosnan... :) and went to visit MSH after the blast.. looked at all the flattened trees, and the lake that was dried up from that... whole side of mountain blew away.

yeah, I am a disaster movie junkie...don't ask me why..lol. course I lived on mt shasta so many years that it was always of interest to me what it would be like if it blew....which it is overdue anyway, from what I heard...
I have so many types of movies that are purporting to end earth life in so many ways....curious to me that in most of them...the answer is always 'lets nuke' it.....I am always saying 'really'?....lol

that was incredible, thanks Redhart. What's amazing is to see how much of the city they've restored over the 200 years they've been working to do that.

I was crying watching it and I saw your word
"recreation" and got mad. Then I realized, "Of course
she didn't mean that."

This is what you meant

re-creation.

It's even in the dictionary that way. Ya gotta have
that dash for the way you meant the word.

lololol

(Sorry I initially got mad at you; lol, I was thinking,
"OMG, she didn't MEAN THAT!"

I was thinking, "Oh yeah, riiiiiiight, for recreation I
just sit back and watch "The Horrors of History!
"

lololol
