Subject: High speed train crash in Spain NOT POSSIBLE

URL: CONFIRMED: Rail system had automatic speed control which would prevent ANY train traveling on it from approaching the turn at that speed.

After reading the media reports it is easy to see the misleading quotes which add up to a lie, and the bottom line is that this train crash CLEARLY WAS NOT POSSIBLE, outside of willful intent from someone not on the train.

The cause appears to be that 1/5 of the way back along the train:

1- the brakes failed to engage causing that section of the train to remain traveling faster than the fast braking 3-4 front cars.

2 - Being linked together and traveling along a curve the energy of the middle cars got converted to a torque which raised the wheels of the track on the inside of the curve

3 - this torque allowed the middle cars to leave the track and then take the rest of the train with it.

4- Oddly, the caboose's brakes were working fine causing all the cars in the front of it to shear the link off the caboose allowing it to ride the track for a bit longer.

The cause of this train wreck was not the train driver speeding.

It was some type of brake system failure in that the middle train cars' brakes failed to engage thus allowing it to try and 'over-travel' the front cars which were correctly braking and slowing down to handle the curve.

The excess speed got converted to a torque which rotated the middle train cars' 'inside curve' wheels off the track thus causing the crash.

The train driver is not at fault but he appears to be getting set-up as the 'fall guy' for what probably amounts to shoddy or skipped maintenance on the train (brake control system and hardware).

There's a small chance that some loon cut the brake control cabling 3-4 cars back from the front car or they were somehow inadvertently damaged. Possibly sabotage maybe (but not likely since the caboose's brakes seemed to be working just fine and the brake control signal probably comes from the first car.).

The USA should send the NTSB over there ASAP. They will find the problem and cut through all the Spanish BS but fast.

Watch the full video of the train wreck and watch which car leaves the track first. Also watch the caboose.

This is what happens when a nation goes bankrupt and shysters skip doing maintenance in order to save some money.

and talking on the phone to the ticket master. The article at the link said the driver was going as fast as 119 mph just before that turn!
