A plane crashed at the San Francisco airport Saturday morning, the FAA confirms. It is not known if any passengers were hurt or injured. The FAA said the Asiana Boeing 777 – flight 213 – was landing at SFO from Seoul, South Korea when it crashed. Video of the crash was posted on YouTube and few details have been confirmed. It appears that the plane landed (without any emergency call in) very early on the runway, the tail broke off and without the rudder it spun around (not cartwheeling as was reported). The latest word is that one person was transported to the hospital by helicopter. Looking at 2/3rd the top of the plane gone (fire), it's a wonder that people were able to leave the plane (via the shoots) carrying their luggage. Blessings for sure! The entire airport is shut down with no planes arriving or departing. |

That's what I've heard, 2 dead and somewhere between 40- 70 injured (depending on who's reporting). But, I also read that this plane has a capacity of 300 and there were more survivors and uninjured than there were injured. That in itself is a miracle after looking at that plane wreckage. |
