Subject: Intense lightening & thunder storm mid-afternoon today |

Whoa was it intense! There were a couple really nasty lightening strikes and thunder around mid day today! A man in our community [trying to find who], was struck by lightening while he was working in a ditch. The electrician who came out to our house to try and get our low voltage house light system going again after it got knocked out by a REALLY close strike, said the poor man got blown out of his pants and sneakers by the strike. Last he heard he was being airlifted to Spokane WA.... Hope he makes it!! VERY strange storm for us. Part of this heat wave coming in a guess....

Watch for fires to pop up, anywhere in that area. They can take days or weeks to develop, sometimes just smoldering in the ground in the roots of trees or deep inside of them.
Please stay alert and most of all please STAY SAFE!
