A repeat of the Station Fire in Rhode Island.
Band with Pyrotechnic show again.
Total insanity.

BRASILIA, Brazil — A blaze raced through a crowded nightclub in southern Brazil early Sunday, killing 232 people as the air filled with deadly smoke and panicked party-goers stampeded toward the exits, police and witnesses said. It appeared to be the world's deadliest nightclub fire in more than a decade.

Witnesses said that a flare or firework lit by band members may have started the fire.

Police Maj. Cleberson Braida Bastianello said by telephone that officials counted 232 bodies that had been brought for identification to a gymnasium in the city of Santa Maria, at the southern tip of Brazil near the borders with Argentina and Uruguay.

Bastianello said the that lowered the toll from 245 earlier believed killed.

Television images showed smoke pouring out of the Kiss nightclub as shirtless, young male partygoers joined firefighters in wielding axes and sledgehammers, pounding at windows and walls to break through to those trapped inside. Teenagers sprinted from the scene desperately trying to find help. Others carried injured and burned friends away in their arms.

"There was so much smoke and fire, it was complete panic and it took a long time for people to get out, there were so many dead," survivor Luana Santos Silva told the Globo TV network. more at link

Subject: Fiendbidstein makes new law to banning nightclubs

Amidst a backdrop of 16-20 year olds on stage Fiendbidstein introduced new legislation to ban all nightclubs saying "The carnage must stop!"

"No more shall we suffer such losses again!" she mused while trying to keep a straight face.

Onlookers from her grassroots hair dye club clapped on apoplectically (having no doubt been promised hot biscuits after the press rally).

Insiders were told that the new law would not apply to them since they belonged to the 'hot biscuit' class.

MSM went batsh*t as the appropos and kudos proceeded vigorously with stories of thrills 'up the pant legs' etc. The glee felt was palpable (it was thought based on all the gladhanding handshakes and smailes galore).

Viewers went about their work day trying too figure out where they were going to for a watering hole after work after the 'legislation got passed in midnight session' with much fanfare and abuse (of privilege).

When Fiendbidstein was told that "nightclubs" per se was not a weapon (like a club) she pined "So what it's 'close enough' and besides nobody will read the law until after it is passed!"

Sounds like a terrible tragedy. I was listening to a report on the radio on the way home from work just now. They said there was only one door, no emergency exits, it was over capacity for safety and their license to run had out months ago.

Maybe they should just give the death penalty to idiot bar owners and bands that do pyro shows that burn people alive.
