IF YOU EVER EVACUATE YOUR HOUSE OR APT. ....
MAKE SURE YOU TURN OFF THE GAS LINES AND THE PILOTS AND SHUT OFF THE ELECTRICITY CIRCUTI BOARD & CUT OFF THE WATER MAINS ... if you can !!
PLEASE! Cs that will PREVENT FIRES or at least help prevent fires!
AND IF YOU LIVE IN A HIGH RISE ANYWHERE ABOVE 10 FLOORS ... EVACUATE PLEASE!

great advice and so remember the Whittier quake in the 80s in Socal. I was not to far from the epicenter, visiting my sister when it happened.
Within about a half hour, I thought to go outside and turn off the gas line.
Natural gas has caused most of the fires in Sandy's path. Thanks BDM!
