Any bets on the rain and flooding causing a bad problem to become a disaster?
My view as to possible options
1. Sinkhole will expand possible radiation leak from storage area
2. It will expand, but flooding will dilute danger
3. Worst case is damage to butane storage and add a lightening strike and total disaster at hand.

Anyone know of any updates? I doubt that anyone is out on the bayou at the moment keeping an eye on the problem area. Too many other problems.

The 1.5 million barrels of liquid butane 1500 feet from
the sinkhole has an explosive capacity of 100 Hiroshima
nuclear bombs, 1.5 times the explosive force of the
largest thermonuclear weapon in current service in the
U.S.

-----------------
I'm surprised that that explosive potential is allowed to
be managed by civilians, and especially corporate
civilians, in a residential and largely unregulated
setting.

Just listened to the big news conference which was
amazing(not like NOLA1)but now that you mention it that
was not included at all.
Maybe there is something in the text I missed. Will see
when it pops up. The link posted.
