This FB page seems to have a pretty good overview including pictures. A lot of families and small farms got wiped out in this disaster. thank goodness no loss of life....

so sad those homes, barns, farms burning to the ground. Wondering why the gov waited so long to call in the Nat'l guard. It did grow quickly but yesterday was the time for that.
Heard on the news they figure over 300 livestock burned to death in the fire so far - estimated.
Plus, going to be hotter, drier tomorrow, time to call in the C130 bombers! Human started too.

Scroll down 5 entries to today's blog "Back Home"

The three or so blogs below that one on deciding what to evacuate with,
and how to transport how much of it, is interesting also.

He had to evacuate for the night.

Sad, all the burnt up horses.

good blog that one, thanks Angelina. Oh my heart just breaks thinking about all those horses, farm animals that died, pets too.
If I lived in an area prone to forest fires, I think I'd have my car packed with stuff we would need 24/7, at least in August when the fires are so rampant. Our little dog would be 1st on the list, important papers, porta potty, TP, food, sleeping bags, water, etc.

Many of those folks had no time to grab anything, just had to run for their lives, just like the Colorado fire. We're getting all their smoke here, can hardly breathe sometimes!
I'm praying for them all and hoping for some rain with predicted T storms tomorrow.
