Apparently, there has been a lot of dry lightning up in norther and central california--mainly in the Sierras. Many little wildfires (with the potential of becoming large wildfires) have broken out, several threatening communities.
I'm particularly watching one named "The Gopher Fire" that is burning west of the town of Copperoppolis (that's near Sonora and San Andreas region). I have a very good friend there, so am watching this one close.
I'm not going to follow all the fires, I jsut don't have bandwidth, but if you are near one, or have loved ones near one of these fires and would like me to shoot anything I hear over here on a particular fire, please let me know. I'll do what I can.

Here's some more info on various fires in general from a different list:
"Cal Fire's Amador-El Dorado Unit headquartered in Camino, CA, is working the Electra Incident in the Mokulumne River Canyon area near Mokulumne Hill, CA"
"10 fires burning on the El Dorado Nat'l Forest in the Placerville District. "
Source is "California Disasters" group/email list, mostly used by responders.
