Hey, we have a new earthquake predictor in Prime Minister Harper who has axed the Urban Heavy Rescue program as well as the Coast Guard station funding near Vancouver and other areas. Coast guard will now have to function on $100 000 funding for a volunteer program staffed by volunteers. Urban heavy rescue is an essential part of living in one of the most dangerous areas in the world for a giant earthquake and tsunami. One has to wonder where priorities have gone under this government... I wish I was sure we will never have to dig out after the big one or a local moderate tremor!

Ya, it seems after the staged banker bailout, err, heist of Obama, to cover losses from speculation, derivatives, and downright robbery, the feds are going to seriously downsize. What's next? UN NWO forces will 'help' the volunteers in first response to disasters? Things sure aren't looking good under this evil anvil of one world gov't looming large on the horizon (listen to Alex Jones' chilling accounts for that news).
Interesting thing about the coast guard is their involvement with stopping drug shipments up and down the west coast. Are they going to use volunteers for that too, LOL? I doubt it. I expect we will be treated the same as all the other disasters on the planet--not much. Homeland security says don't expect help for a week, at least. California being bankrupt is going to be bankrupt in local help, for sure.
Most disaster manuals (excepting first aid) you can throw out the window, i.e., if you still have one when it hits. Food (dry and wet), water purifier, toiletries, and cash to get outta dodge, plus a small STOL plane sure would be handy. Something like a small balloon you can fire up from your roof and go up up and away would help too--my fantasy. I remember after 911 some companies were thinking about buying low-altitude parachutes they could launch from a broken window in a skyscraper. Listening to your intuition and keeping your wits about ya is imperative to survival. Sometimes survival in disasters is just dumb luck although the more controlling types will say 'there are no coincidences.' My take: 's*t does happen,' even with the best of preparations but having no prep for disasters is not too smart.

I was curious, looked it up, and found some info at this link:

Looks like Obama started manipulating things as early as 1970, the crafty dude!
(me, I'll always be a Nader voter...)

Thank you, good article! It will take me 'a few' to absorb all the information, for sure. How was OB manipulating back in 1970? H
The upshot I get is that the gov has been bailing corporations out for almost 30 years! Utilities considered as too big too fail because they had their hands in too many other pies along the way, or, due to corrupt cronyism (old boy, organized crime, and other)? [Sorry for the nonspecific metaphor use. Metaphors can paint a very distracting landscape at times- :D]
Fantastic website, impressive info map they intend to update in their perseverance and commitment to reporting the truth. Nice to have glossary links too.
