Tons of smoky steam pouring out of R4 in a rare close up version of tbsnews-i. This is either from today or yesterday. I haven't heard what's happening yet. Cross 'yer fingers we're not 'there' yet to a major disaster. Reactor 3 is not looking so hot either, fwiw.

I can't see the smoke at this time on live feed but thought I'd take a look at latest taped video. There is an explosion @1:14 !

It sure does look like an explosion. Would a beta flare 'do that'? Many have wondered about the color changes on these TBS/JNN vids, thinking they were harmless 'filter' changes to see to see ? what, I don't know- :) Everyone gave Tepco the benefit of the doubt for a loooong time that they were reporting some truth - HA. Much of what they say is sugar coated or lies of omission. I had no idea the Japanese govt was so sociopathic and bizarre. Wonder where they learned that type of political rule? Last week an alleged worker stated that there were many more explosions none of us saw on the vids. It's possible ALL the 'color changes' we've seen on the TBS channel are actually explosions. Huge heads-up- Thanks!

Fuku did have a huge increase in rads, horrendous increase (Fukushima Diary) on the 24th, before all the construction work. It's really scary to think that the 'soft' ground around R4 is destabilizing faster than they can fix any of this mess. At least they have a cover on top to keep gases from escaping but any moderate earthquake will simply dump it all into the harbor, or something like that. I hate this waiting... On the positive side, so far, haven't seen a ton of rad increase here in the last day. The jet stream is broken up so it's dispersing a bit more than usual. Couldn't tell what was what in N. Bay yesterday as the jet trails laid a bunch of big 'X's and lattice overhead. I've been totally congested since then. Even the cat has 'sinus' today, poor thing (hold the 'sniffer,' LOL).

I still don't get why they can't put a sarcophagus on the 'hot' R-1-3 reactors. Maybe I'll take a little remote viewing trip under the plant to see what I can see- ;)

Sorry, the taped version is 'livecamerchecker' on YT:

It was late in the day so how this whitenend glow cloud is created, not sure. Hard to believe it's just fog in the evening. Then the color changes that could be more than a 'filter' change.

Here's another sparkly 'white out' and film color change (at link) from the 23rd, with nuckelchen's music to go with. In all of these foggy, steamy, cloudy, sparkly, color changing Fuku scenes, the reddish particles bother me the most.
