Saw this on the news about 20 minutes ago. Here's an article. Wildland Fire has fire listings. You can read and check on links to more info for your area. Stay safe!
>The Waldo Canyon fire has taken an odd, and often alarming, shape as it grows across the hillsides. It has three arms — or in wildland lingo, heads — stretching in three directions across the bone-dry forests. On Sunday it grew northwest toward Cedar Heights, a luxury-home gated community that was evacuated Saturday. The fire also reached downhill and southwest toward Highway 24, but did not cross the road, Heule said. The third arm is reaching northward toward Cascade and Green Mountain Falls.
Conditions and rugged terrain proved too dangerous for active firefighting Saturday night, Heule said, and Sunday night was shaping up to be similarly difficult. Typically, when ground crews are kept away, other crews will monitor the blaze all night from its fringes and from the air.

A new one Kid, just blew up about 15 miles SSE of my place. Here is what I got so far from a local BLOG:
++++++
This fire, with all the area Fire Department's on site, is about where the payment ends on CR17 and CR102, about 1/2 mile past the paved area going south.
There have been about 100 evacuations from the fire area we are now learning, with the evacuation location for displaced residents being at the Elbert County Fairgrounds.
++++++
This is SW of the town of Elizabeth and as I guessed about 15 miles away. Smoke has gone from dark to white so that is good as it means they are getting water on it. Water, what is that? We are dry, real dry and it was 102 here at the ranch yesterday.

Fire is out. Burnt 600 acres. As far as I have heard no homes or structures just open grasslands. This will be good for the grass since it will come back stronger next year. There are still 8 major fires burning in Colorado and some are 0% contained. L

Yea, so many and it is better for the grass to burn some years - but the loss and all is not ok - and the air gets bad.

True on the air quality and it has been bad the past weeks. Keep in mind that if humans were not around lightning would still cause these fires and they would burn a lot more. Not saying humans should go just pointing out the obvious.
Unknown what caused the one near me, it was in a small valley so could have been a old discarded glass bottle or something.
I heard they are looking for an arsonist for one of the other fires.
I hear on the news they got another one 100% contained, forgot which one. They are bringing in C130 tankers manned by skilled military pilots who are use to flying low and slow in variable winds to fight the one West of Colorado Springs.
We need rain bad and I don't see any for the plains until Thursday and then only 10% chance. Those monsoon conditions can't get here too soon IMHO.
