Fukushima reactor No. 4 vulnerable to catastrophic collapse; could unleash 85 times Cesium-137 radiation of Chernobyl; human civilization on the brink

(NaturalNews) The news you are about to read puts everything else in the category of "insignificant" by comparison. Concerned about the 2012 U.S. presidential election? Worried about GMOs? Fluoride? Vaccines? Secret prisons? None of that even matters if we don't solve the problem of Fukushima reactor No. 4, which is on the verge of a catastrophic failure that could unleash enough radiation to end human civilization on our planet. (See the numbers below.)

The resulting releasing of radiation would turn North America into a "dead zone" for humans... mutated (and failed) crops, radioactive groundwater, skyrocketing infant mortality, an explosion in cancer and infertility... this is what could be unleashed at any moment from an earthquake in Japan. Such an event could result in the release of 85 times the Cesium-137 released by the Chernobyl catastrophe, say experts (see below). And the Chernobyl catastrophe made its surrounding regions uninhabitable by humans for centuries.

From day one, they should have been...

Step1. Bury it and encase it in concrete...

Step 2. Repeat...

Step 3. And repeat...

And then pray that when it does slag itself, that the tomb holds and any contamination is held to a local level...

... shudders... ...o.O...

Exactly! I don't get the response, even with all my reading. There's got to be something wicked behind all this silence and spin. Considering Japan and U.S. are in partnership now (since the US occupation after WWII), why did we not exert more control over the situation? Did we not have a solution because the 'secret' is that most of the fukuCRUD is already out of the box, into the air and ocean now? If this were true, you will see intermittent radiation figures rising and falling for the rest of our lives. Not a pretty thought.

One thing they could do is heave ho a giant lead and heat resistant container under that R4 swimming pool if it has fuel still on the bottom, not gone through the metal. Gundersen said the shoring up they did is like theater staging and is not as sturdy as the original. The bottom of this R4 pool is now leaking water furiously, to the tune of a TON (probably metric) of water being poured through the top - daily. They want to dump all this rad/sea water into the ocean daily now 'cause they don't have storage for it (this will and is creating so called nuclear 'buckey balls' from hell that last longer, go farther in the air).

Pouring out a TON of rad water on top of what already went out is UNACCEPTABLE. Sorry for screaming but this really bugs me and should bug everyone. Just think that this is from one mature NPP with six reactors. San Onofre is another contender for a disaster exactly like Fuku and maybe that's what we need to wake people the hell up (I pray every day- NOT).

Really, it makes me want to rip my hair out thinking about the lack of public response to DOING SOMETHING to stop the rest of the fukuCRUD from melting down in dribs and drabs, connecting up to other hollows of dribs and drabs, and then sliding out in some places directly to the ocean (if it hasn't already within one year, depending on the geology under the plant). Even worse, on Enenews someone (nuchelchen I think, a great videographer!) speculated in a vid of a TBS cam that they were literally carrying fuel rods out of the reactors into the harbor in front. They were going to put cement on the sea floor in the harbor and did for a while, then no mention after that. The building up of rad water in the harbor would be enough of a problem so maybe they were conveniently storing dismantled building sections- ;)

Whatever could be done was not and it's used as an excuse to do nothing else. I don't understand any of their actions, if all or most of the fuel melted down and out long ago from R1-4. Hmm, maybe if fuel did melt through already, the people at the plant feel they should abandon the plant (long ago) and can't in order to keep up appearances (fill the pool for the nice journalists visiting, etc.).

Everyone keeps saying there's fuel to be cooled, it's all about the cooling water when they don't even known where the corium is under each reactor? Total hogwash I think. I am pretty sure when R4 caught on fire in January of this year that the U.S. and/or Russia did another thermal imaging session over the Fuku reactors. Someone knows what's what and isn't letting out one word, on pain of death or something- :( I can only think the worst has happened. Pouring a ton of very radioactive water into the Pacific Ocean every day if most of the fuel is out of R4 would be let's say, very non-productive. If fuel is in the pool, it's still absurd to think they are going to do this every day for the next five to ten years? No Way! I do think the U.S. is leading a lot of the show over there, behind the scenes or the mil-indus-cmplx is telling them what to do. In the past, Japan does not do well under extreme stress being that seppuku is a cultural tradition for those who 'fail' to control things in the manner expected. You don't hear about any Japanese officials killing themselves do you? We know what would've happened to Tepco in China..yikes. They may be getting off easy because they are someone else's scapegoat. Japan isn't the only country to run a Kabuki 'Theater of the Absurd' media spin on the truth, it turns out. Every big brain on the planet needs to search their souls and step up to fixing this mess or sit back and watch the human genome unravel for all future time. I think I'm ready to go to that other 'earth' now, as long as it's not inside that giant rat cage the giants keep- :D

People should buy some Iodoral (have to check dates on mine) since the mil is looking to buy 400 million hits of it right now. Clearly they are worried about all forms of nuc attacks on the U.S. now with all the conflict and int'l saber rattling.

Now they are saying Japan is considering evacuating 40 million Japanese to the Russian Kuril Islands.
