Yeah, been following this...last night there was some
hope as an unverified local source said there might
have been 4 survivors pulled from the site minutes
after the crash. But, there was no other source
verifying that and this morning it was revealed that
there were no survivors.
Very sad.
Trump is blaming DEI, which is ridiculous. If you have
seen the videos of the crash, even I can see there
wasn't anything that pilot could have done. He was
seconds from landing with no room to evade anything
when the helicopter flew in from the side right into
them. I'm not a pilot, but it's clear that the
passenger jet was making just a standard landing on a
clear path.
What's unclear is what the army helicopter was doing,
with a jet in front of it..did it not see it? Have
warnings?...or if the control tower communications with
these aircraft and if they issued warnings? I'm sure an
investigation will run down those details, but it will
take a while.
my heart and prayers go out to all families and
rescuers involved.

Still can't believe you of all posters would put the
4 person recovery detail into text here.
Since the call sign was PAT25, we're entitled to
speculate it was a Patriot helicopter with some kind of
crew escape facility for the crew of 4. The now
obsolescent White Hawk, which is the retiring that
Marine One, also used 4. Black Hawk uses just 3.
Note the passenger capacity, at 14, any inside scoop on
who was really on board?

'You want me to go swimming?': Trump says he won't
visit DC plane crash site because it's 'the water‘
Donald Trump responded sarcastically to questions about
whether he would be visiting the site of the deadly
crash over the Potomac River in Washington D.C., asking
reporters at the White House: “You want me to go
swimming?”
The president said on Thursday he would be meeting with
some of the families of victims of the tragedy, which
occurred at Ronald Reagan Airport Wednesday night. All
67 people involved in the crash are presumed dead,
authorities said previously.
When asked about his plans to visit the crash site, he
replied: “I have a plan to visit, not the site. Because
you tell me, what’s the site? The water? You want me to
go swimming?”
Social media users were quick to condemn the “callous”
comments.
“67 people die under his watch, and he makes a joke?
Callous, heartless, completely lacking in empathy on
full display because so many other Americans are like
this and see no problem with it,” one user wrote in
response to the clip.
“We are such a profoundly unserious country sometimes,”
added another.
The president’s remarks came as he signed an executive
order following up on remarks he made earlier in the
day at a press conference, in which he laid the blame
for the crash on Joe Biden and diversity (DEI)
programs.
The order is titled "Immediate Assessment of Aviation
Safety."
"We want the most competent people,” Trump said. “We
don't care what race they are. We want the most
competent people, especially in those positions.”
He added: “You're talking about extremely complex
things, and if they don't have a great brain, a great
power of the brain, they're not going to be very good
at what they do and bad things will happen."
Trump made the comments before any investigative
findings into the crash, and offered no specifics or
evidence for his claims.
When pressed after his earlier remarks about why he
believed DEI was responsible for the crash, he
responded that it “could have been.” He said he reached
his conclusion because “I have common sense.”
Trump also said he would be meeting with some of the
families of the victims from the D.C. collision, but
did not specify when. “I will be meeting with some
people that were very badly hurt with their family
members, obviously, but I’ll be meeting with some of
the families, yeah,” he said.
As of Thursday afternoon, more than 40 bodies were
recovered from the Potomac River, CNN reported citing
sources with knowledge of official operations.
Dive operations were concluded for the day due to
daylight, conditions on the water and the belief that
most of the victims that can be reached without
removing parts of the aircraft from the water have
already been recovered, a law enforcement source told
the outlet."

Trump's a complete idiot and souless man.
Until a real cause is found, he can say it was whatever
the boogie man of the week was:
It was DEI..
It was the Vaccine, obviously the pilots were
vaccinated and it caused this.
It was illegal immigrants!!
It was the Chinese!
It was freaking aliens!
He can frame it whatever he wants.
What do you want to bet that A) the investigators
report is either never made public or B) He somehow
bullies the investigators to suggest a cause that's
politically advantageous to him or threatens their
jobs.
This is what he does.
You are never going to get truth from this guy.
And the fact that he disrespects the victims of this
accident and their families, before the bodies are all
even fully removed from the river, shows exactly what
kind of dark and souless asshole he really is.

Still can't believe you posted about the 4 swimmers
pulled out at the site, maybe you are still in
character because of the "unverified" modifier.
"Only in America" can eyewitness news information that
leaked through be opinionized as unverified and
blotted. Musta just been a local chapter of the Polar
Bear Club just out gettin chapped then.

You people are the ones who brought up swimming, I was
just amplifying that.
You yourself posted "an unverified local source said
there might have been 4 survivors pulled from the site
minutes after the crash". Now the way that's worded,
it biases the source wasn't entirely sure they saw what
they saw, not that we're pretty sure we're going to
continue unverifying the source no matter what they
saw.
Since the site was in the Potomac, stands to reason the
ghost survivors were strong swimmers and since it was
January in DC, they either had wetsuits or Polar Bears
in the family.
Any way we slice it you really screwed up posting that,
it's a very dangerous truth if true.

is SOOO immature for an individual holding the highest
position in our country - to go and start shooting off
his mouth when they haven't even finished pulling up the
debris nor the deceased... before the FAA has been able
to make a statement (Oh wait, they probably can't since
the administration muzzled everyone from talking), but
anyone, before the FAA has done its investigation....just
off and running his mouth - at a time when our country
would need a leader who will show strength and compassion
instead of a fingerpointing mouth diarrhea cartoon
character.
