Wildfire death toll at 27, anxious residents wait for

Many residents across the region are getting their
first looks at destruction to homes and businesses
while others are still anxiously waiting for evacuation
notices to end so they can assess damage.

As calmer winds assist firefighters battling the
Southern California blazes, there has been progress in
containing the wildfires in L.A. County, but residents
should remain vigilant, officials said, warning that
smoldering hot spots that can burn down into the roots
of trees and bushes.

While red flag fire warnings have expired, AccuWeather
forecasters warn that another round of Santa Ana winds
is expected to begin early next week.

funny, this morning looking at the ruins made me think.
is it payback for the damage we caused with bunker bombs in Gaza, damage looks the same.
the great spirit's payback?
(is there another pandemic around the corner to make up for the deaths?)
