Today is the first I have heard of it. Doral is near Miami. Also this week a facility in Kissimmee, FL had plastic pot toxins burning.

EPA advises Doral residents to shelter in place as renewable energy plant continues to burn
BY FRANKLIN WHITE
FEBRUARY 17, 2023

DORAL, FLA. (WSVN) - A renewable energy plant that processes garbage in Doral has been burning all week, leading residents near the facility to remain sheltered
indoors as officials continue to put out the fire.

On Friday, students at schools near the plant were dismissed early out of an abundance of caution.

The schools that were dismissed included Andrea Castillo Preparatory Academy and Doral Senior High School.

There were also two parks affected by the smoke, including Doral Glades Park and Doral Legacy Park.

PS. it is funny thing that nobody is buying the recycling items put into trash.
here TN, it is type 1 and type 2 recycle items only.
my guess they are mostly oil and burn easily.
China will not buy any of it any more as we have foods attached to much of it so they reject it.
they call it renewables!?

burned plastics cause a severely bad major headache.
as with this Ohio fire now this!!?!?!??!?!?!
very many years ago I was planning to buy a mobile home park in Palermo CA.
this is just South of Oroville CA and dam.
while driving North to the RE broker with a offer, I had a vision of a oil
derek/rig catching on fire and poisons flying out of the top of it.
shook up I pulled off to the next off ramp with the one thought in my head.
do not do any thing for two years. went home and forgot about it until there
was a PBS broadcast special. it was the Koppers Chemical company's fire.
the item that burned looked like a refinery fire where pipes went up into the air.
this place made telephone poles and rail road ties bug proof, this is what the treated.
the fire really burnt for
about two weeks before it was finally extinguished.

they told every body it's ok just a small fire. water used contaminated the
ground water aquifer. this found out a year later as well water was pumped
out onto peoples gardens. pets stared to die and some even had enormous amounts
of cancer growing, one old lady died. I believe she ate a contaminated chicken.
people were told not to let their kids out to play in their yards. eradicators showed
up at homes decontaminated their walk ways and drive ways and all were put
on water from Oroville as fast as they could. most all were on their well water.

PAM I'm with you on this one. I do wonder about those down wind from Ohio as
I know that wind eventually blew some here in Mid TN.
did I forget to mention all were warned to never plant anything in their yards.
