does anybody wonder if the 3.9 quake generated by the US military off the coast to test the vulnerability
of a air craft carrier could have possibly sent earth waves and weakened the building?
this quake was a few weeks ago and we all know from Loma Prieta it does generate wave that did more damage miles away like SF and Oakland.

Absolutely! First thing I thought when I heard
about the collapse. Military tests! The location
of the 'explosion'/3.9 quake appears to be on
the edge of the 'shelf'...leading right to the
area of the collapse!? Call me crazy, but the
close-in-time proximity is just a bit too
coincidental...imho, of course.
Remember the missile 'test' gone awry...hitting
TWA Flight 800? Ya...MANY witnesses saw the
missile, but it was ruled a mechanical failure,
or some such nonsense.
I DREAMT it the night before and told others,
who called me right after the breaking news,
saying, "Exactly what you dreamt!" (Less than 12
hours earlier! Whoa!

I do wonder how many other buildings were damaged and un-seen.
the building that collapsed had the same square supports like the Cypress structure that fell.
