The video shows sequence of collapse of the Champlain Towers South is simulated with a possible explanation
for the failure illustrated.

On 24 Jun 2021 the Champlain South Tower collapsed at 1:15am. This is a 12 story condominium building in
Miami Florida in the suburb of Surfside. It was built in 1981.

The 3D animation is based on Architectural and Structural drawing made available by the town of Surfside and
intended to illustrate the building and structure. The events and sequences are based on key photographic
evidence and eyewitness accounts.

I have a career in designing and constructing buildings including experience in the USA. I caution that its
still too early to know why it collapsed. This video is only a suggestion of the root cause of the failure.

No doubt it will be used in any legal proceedings.

It would most likely have to be an expert hired by an attorney specifically. The simulation visual will most likely change some as
other factors arise regarding the collapse. I thought it was interesting and possibly revealed some things like how the pool deck
collapse may have happened.

The video from an engineer I posted as well you may find interesting if you have not viewed it already. He speaks to many factors
ones I had also wondered about and shared on this board. He speaks to how building codes need to be improved to save lives in order to
avoid a future repeat scenario and compares it to other places where improvements in the structures were made for such reasons like CA
earthquakes for survival purposes. He speaks to improving the checks and balances system so that more emphasis is given to making
repairs in a timely fashion and hypothesizes as to how they might come about. It is unfortunate such factors as these were not
considered and implemented before such a catastrophe but that's how the majority of humans operate in this realm.

While the video is a bit of time to hear (about 25 minutes) I am interested in the topic given the experiences I have had in Florida
with builders, HOA's and repairs... I listened to it while doing some other things at my desk. Building Codes have changed since I
moved here over 20 years ago for to make improvements to include factors like the weather and so on.
