Yes, I read that and pamela posted it on national board ...one other condo is evacuating some of the residents in same area and it had similar concerns as and others with similar will be evaluated ....it does not mean all of Florida should evacuate. There are many factors that come into play in regards to the buildings and if you read the links I provided you would understand why maybe...or not most likely not. Your article does not mention corrosion from salt water or as the one and only specific cause of the collapse. No one knows all the specifics yet maybe they never will before doomsday comes and we are all melted by doomergasms galore. Corrosion can happen due to a variety of factors anywhere not some places are more susceptible especially if construction is not up to par or repairs of damage is not timely. Causes of Corrosion Metal corrodes when it reacts with another substance such as oxygen, hydrogen, an electrical current or even dirt and bacteria. Corrosion can also happen when metals like steel are placed under too much stress causing the material to crack. DOH!? |

I just did, I had seen similar ones but the bbc clip has a couple of views from different angles I had not seen before that I appreciated. I found it interesting in your thread starter clip that they were doing work on the roof at the time also...there was all sorts of things may or may not have been contributions (on top of other unknowns) like the building construction in the vicinity...there seemed to be lots of intense man made vibrations in and around the building itself in Surfside. |
