the "I confused I confused Howard," was in Leon Spinx's words to Howard Cosell after a fight.
he was knocked silly. but my confusion is in California when there was a quake the area of Santa Clara County
they had shut off all cell phone communication so that only civic phones only worked.
they tested it one year I lived there and that is what I experienced. funny land line worked....
so what will the do send out the warning then shut off your phones?

There is special coding in responders phones and others with the authority and the cell companies basically shut you out except maybe a few channels which become crowded right away as everyone relies on the stupid cellar phone.

Land line works as it is a direct to the switch office to a direct position in the switch so it will work unless something happens to the phone office or the lines that tie all the offices together.

Bottom line is do not depend on that stupid phone thing in your hand you walk around like a zombie staring at in a disaster. The land line should work unless above.

Sorry to break the news but the cell system is not reliable and us pee-on are at the bottom of the totem pole or outhouse depending on how you look at it.
