that would be one of my choices of a presidential platform, after seeing all that has gone on and is going on massively all over the world. I had read years ago about past disasters and they money/help promised them just didn't happen and so the communities/etc never do recuperate or rebuild properly and individuals not helped.
my question here is does anyone on this board know if there is any agency or group that have ever researched this and doing an accounting of what happens to all those funds?
We do know that so much of the funds donated to the relief in Haiti sure didn't go to where it was needed at all.
I even wonder how long any insurance companies can stay in business with all the disasters and paying out massive amounts for this and that?
Being a 'practicality person' I have been watching and seeing a system that is like swiss cheese and when people depend upon help, and paid into it, they may not get what they planned for and deserved when they need it.
