thanks Redhart, bet that 747 is very busy! My sister just called from Central California coast saying that the smoke from the Thomas fire is really thick there now. Her lungs aren't the best either from a rare cancer on which they operated 5 years ago.
Also, one of our cousins who lives in Santa Barbara got a text to be prepared to evacuate if necessary, that's how far this fire is travelling. Brother Brad in Northridge is still ok, Creek fire still creeping closer and he's get back if he can on Saturday.

My prayers are with all your loved ones...and the
firefighters to get this out before anymore harm
befalls them.

And...doing that nekkid raindance probably wouldn't
hurt either.

the rain Angels don't care if we have clothes or not, I know this from previous rain dances that brought rain within an hour during a fire in Anaheim back in the day!

That said, I'm so tired from all this news, I have a hard time typing! It really concerns me that my sister, any of my family in Ca. now might be subject to a fire storm that spreads so fast they can't prepare and that goes for you too Redhart.

I'm a woman of faith and a believer in prayer, doesn't seem to be working these days for this holocaust. So is the West coast the sacrificial lamb to global warming and it's extreme weather events so starkly present now? Plenty of proof there!

We've had Santa Ana winds before this time of year.
They are saying that what they're seeing is the
lowest humidity levels ever in recorded weather
history here. Basically, that it's in single digits
along the coast...lower than the desert in summer.

Wild..but sad results.

Not sure what's going on, but I'm 55mi away from
closest fire, so safe tonight. The winds are
actually calm here ...that doesn't necessarily mean
they are calm at the fires, but it's an indication
that maybe mother nature is giving us a break for a
moment.

These fires are very different and dangerous animals
than a normal wildfires. I think everyone is reeling
a bit. We pretty much would all like to enjoy the
season, do our shopping, be with family. This
running and screaming bit is not what anyone had on
the Holiday schedule.

yeah, and I was talking to a guy in San Diego county
last night that was telling me they were making too
big a deal of it all, and better them than him.

Karma's a bitch.
