Looks like there are more smoke spots popping up, one at Lake Francis Dam in Yuba City and another I didn't catch.

The fire vernacular is pretty fun though I can't figure out much. New slang for me, 'nuclear buggy' 'buggies' (?), 'Santa Claus' (with the bucket..), rotors, ST, dozer lines, etcetera.

Here's the more generic broadcastify feeds, where you can click on the county and get pertinent feeds for that area, including transit, police, and firefighting, including the fire retardant fliers. It's very interesting to hear the communications between these guys!

thanks for that, I was looking for a more local area of reports than the original one posted by Redhart.
Yeah, they all have their own language and it's tough to decipher it but glad they can.
Monumental efforts to stop these fires but NE of Santa Rosa, seems to be a lot of fire activity so it's not over yet. Other than that, Calistoga mandatory evacs lifted so folks can go home now. Map of fires at the link.
PS: There was a fire in Novato but they put that one out, those firefighters must be so darned worn out by now, heros all!

The best local reports I've heard are from Sonoma News Talk Radio at 1350 am, with Kim Komando. Maybe broadcastify has some other feeds if you input the exact zip codes? Anyway, thanks for your links and the correction about Redhart's post- :)

I hope we have a HUGE celebration for these guys after this, including the inmates who are working for a dollar an hour!

One inmate broke his wrist falling today in the Bear Fire and so many with burns and/or smoke inhalation. Most of them don't even wear masks.

Thanks for the link- :) I heard this morning that the Sonoma fires were burning more northward. The winds will change this afternoon to S/SW so we'll see. Containment is 68% on the Nuns fire, so YAY, I hope they can get these OUT even before any rain and get a strong grip on the Bear Fire today. The 'Bear' terrain is so steep, containment has to be by air drops and hand crews. They have only 3 dozers. Dozers are almost unusable in the steep ravines where the hot burn is happening. Structures are going down and of course, all the animals either get overcome by smoke or start running. In the Coffey Park firestorm, I heard animals were literally 'torched' on the spot, only a Pompeii-like cinder shape of an animal was left. The people who lost animals AND their house, OMG, I have no words- :( The other story I heard I can't tell yet, it's just too sad.
