My mom lives across the inlet from Jupiter Island, FL, on the water. She and her boyfriend just replanted their yard after the hurricanes, and today they had a high tide, the King Tide (don't know what that is) that has inundated their yard and ruined their new plantings with salt water.

And it looks like a new hurricane is heading toward New Orleans by Saturday!

Thank you for sharing. At link is a recent report with audio visual for any interested.

Winds also add to the dilemma.

It's the Harvest Moon today and it's been coming...gravity factors.

King tides are simply the very highest tides. ... Tides are the movement of water across Earth's surface caused by the combined effects of the gravitational forces
exerted by the Moon, Sun, and the rotation of Earth which manifest in the local rise and fall of sea levels.
