SB, This article at the link you provide is major "F'd" up. So I say in
response to GTF out now...WTF? and UNREAL!!!
First - this is sensationalism fear porn because the fella does not
say nowhere in Florida is safe as I view the video. Second - the
Pasco county (deputy?) says if those who do not evacuate from the
evacuation zones (namely coastal as that is evacuation zone "A")
that they have been forewarned that they won't be assistance for
those who ride it out during the storm as the first responders will
not be able to get to them most likely during the storm.
However after the storm I do know Pasco county has a military
vehicle designed to get through anything and they were making
use of it this morning if and when necessary. So maybe you will
be comforted by that.
There is so much wrong with this article I don't know where to
start but it's fake fear news porn bottom line. Best to show the
entire news clip and relay the message about no where in the
FLORIDA KEYS is safe (that is most always the case in a hurricane)
The journalist/s who did this really scrambled the report from the
Pasco county officer. Pasco county is huge and far from the
Florida Keys. Plus only near the shore line and west of 19 were
Pasco county residents told to evacuate and they did not say get
out all of Florida. The evacuated residents came further inland
inland towards where I am in Pasco county to shelters like the
nearby high school which filled they filled up to capacity with
those residents.
Overall there were few deaths so I guess the news won't
sensationalize that part as it's just not dramatic enough. The topic
will be forgotten by most in a day or two as the media can't suck
any more blood out of it for a nickel or two. Those of us left
without major damage of loss we not news worthy as that would
be against the rules...too much good news. The power will I am
sure be back on ASAP for many and for those not, may they be as
comfortable as possible.

They answered as I just read on the weather channel 23 million are headed right now into northern Florida and
beyond. It will take the Hurricane two days to meet
up with them in northern Florida...surge tides are all
around Florida beaches with this hurricane.

another bullet yet again. But places like the Keys and
Marco Island....WILL BE GONE
