Been watching the Turkish tv series, Magnificent
Century, with English subtitles.
It has about 139 episodes. I just finished watching
122. Started at episode 1. Very interesting insightful
to those times. Based on real life King Suleiman,
(Ottoman Empire, conquering Christian lands for Islam
and interchanges with the RCC) his wife, a slave taken
from her parents from what is now Ukraine and comes to
be married to Suleiman) concubines, harem, children,
wars, religion and crazy royal in-fighting, all set in
the 1500's. Magnificent costumes, sets, etc.

to its subject matter though it could go into
International.
It's up to you to watch the whole series, though time
consuming, it beats all the treachery going on in
current times but at same time helps with better
understanding the present, looking and understanding
the past. I'm always interested in historical pieces
even though its souped up with some fiction, one can
always investigate more to learn more of the truth.
My cat is not happy with me watching so many episodes,
but I am almost at the end of it. He likes to tell me
when to go to bed, Lol.

Almost finished watching the complete episodes. Some of
the scenes real tear jerkers. Amazing characters.
