Feels like this might be part of/linked to that whole
"Manifest Destiny" perversion/ethos, utilized by
certain White Europeans to justify/rationalize
genocide/cultural rape of indigenous peoples they came
upon and any other humans, white or not, whose ways
fell outside their "sacred mandates"...
And to think they fantasized themselves as bringing
"civilization".........in the name of Christ.......
