Acts 4:13
When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus.
So how could they write books attributed to them?

The Gospels were written by scribes or close associates to each apostle. They were not physically written by the them, if you believe Edgar Cayce. That's my take.....

2 Peter 1:21 For no prophecy was ever brought forth by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit. (biblehub.com)
“prophecy” in this verse probably also refers to the writing of holy Scripture. The following commentary explains how scripture was written “not by the will of man … but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.”
Pulpit Commentary Verse 21. - … But holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost; literally, but being borne on by the Holy Ghost, the holy men of God spake; or, if we follow the Vatican Manuscript, "But being borne on by the Holy Ghost, men spake from God." We have again the same verb, "being borne on" (φερόμενοι); comp. Acts 27:15, 17, where it is used of a ship being borne on by the wind. So the prophets were borne on in their prophetic utterance by the Holy Spirit of God. They were truly and really inspired. The mode of that inspiration is not explained; perhaps it cannot be made plain to our human understanding; all the points of contact between the finite and the Infinite are involved in mystery. But the fact is clearly revealed - the prophets were borne on by the Holy Spirit of God. ----------------------
IMO, much “automatic writing” is occult counterfeit of the verse 2 Peter 1:21.

No one really knows who wrote many of the books of the New Testament. It was not God who attributed those works to them. For example, God doesn't say that the books of Peter were written by Peter. That was done by Early Church officials. For an unschooled Aramaic speaking fisherman to end up writing in Greek like in the Book Revelations must indeed be a miracle. BTW, the Book of Revelations was included in the New Testament Canon by only one vote in a Church conclave held to to determine the official canon. Hopefully, they were more accurate than modern evangelicals who claim to discern the will of God. See link below.

They were originally written in Aramaic, then translated to Greek. Some of the original meaning was lost in that translation. At the link is an example of The Lord's Prayer prayer from Aramaic. The meaning was richer and more esoteric than the version we all know today.
Also The Book of John was nearly excluded, also as well as the Book of Revelations

Eve wrote: It might have been a follower of Peter who was a witness as well as a scribe.
Silas (another name for Silvanus) might have been the scribe who transcribed what Peter said into Peter’s letters. I Peter 5:12 might indicate that Silas helped with Peter’s letters.
NIV version of I Peter 5:12 12 With the help of Silas, whom I regard as a faithful brother, I have written to you briefly, encouraging you and testifying that this is the true grace of God. Stand fast in it.

I'm gonna use from personal experience when I receive dreams, visions and utterance to try to convey how the bible may have been written but certain Spirit directed guidance as it were.
When I receive a dream, vision or words...when I write them down..I get the dictation word for word..and are given very concise words to write down infact... these are not my thought or words...but images and words from the Spirit of G_d alone that are conveyed. I see the cryptic images, or flow of an event and I hear words...alot of times I also will get remembrance of a part of scripture that I then research for and look up about as part of the message conveyed by G_d. Like I said tho...all words are dictated via Spirit 'concisely' 'word for word' when written down. Where these prophets and scribes influence by the Spirit of G_d to write what they wrote...very possible. Hope this helps btw. Peace.

It might have been a follower of Peter who was a witness as well as a scribe.
At that time Jesus declared, “I praise You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because You have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this was well-pleasing in Your sight. All things have been entrusted to Me by My Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal Him.…
