and, if not mistaken, it is the same word with the same meaning in the Book of Zechariah

this is probably not unusual to a high degree but it is such an iconic word that they said it the same way for thousands of years and it meant the same thing, sleep

Shakespeare made poetry with that very word

to sleep, perchance to dream
