BUDDHA THE ISRAELITE
By The late Isabel Hill Elder, Northern Ireland

IN almost startling confirmation of the Israelitish origin of Buddhism many references are to be found in ancient writings, symbols and rock inscriptions which compel us to the conclusion that the original Buddhism was none other than the Israel religion. When the prophet Ezekiel was carried captive to Babylon at the age of 25 both he and his father, Buzi, as Aaronites had the missionary urge to see their kinsfolk of Israel cleansed from their idolatry and return to the worship of the one true God, the God of Israel.

In the book of Ezekiel we have the missionary prophets denunciation of the sins of the House of Judah with whose King (Jehoiachin) , and Court officials Ezekiel was carried captive to Babylon. (II Kings XXIV, 14 -16, Ezekiel 1, 2)
The prophet covers a wide field for he sees in a vision the whole House of Israel, twelve tribed Israel, revived and restored to God’s favour. The home training of Ezekiel in the house of his father, Buzi, had one object and that was missions to Israel.
Buzi, the Aaronite, with the prophetic eye, saw disaster rapidly approaching for the unfaithful House of Judah, and a like punishment to that which had overtaken the House of Israel, 100 years earlier, when the King of Assyria had carried them captive in the reign of Hoshea and placed them in ” the cities of the Medes” (II Kings XVII). During a revolt in Assyria the Israelite captives made their escape and, for the most part, turned south-east to the shores of the Caspian Sea.

These tidings having reached Buzi his missionary spirit was aroused to go forth to these escaped captives, his kinsfolk. Taking with him five disciples, probably trained in the schools of the prophets, Buzi came to these outcast Israelites with a message of hope and forgiveness; he would make a supreme effort to turn them from idolatry to the worship of the one true God. As he journeyed towards their camping places his name Buzi became Buddha; this change is easily understood when we realise that in the Semitic languages the “Z” and “D” sounds are related, e.g., in Hebrew Zahab and Dahab both mean “gold” and so Buddha would be a natural alternative for Buzi. It is then as Buddha that we first hear of Buzi, the father of Ezekiel, between Media and the Caspian Sea and his followers as Budii.

It was from the region of Media that the “wise men” came to Bethlehem at the time of the birth of our Lord (Budh, in some oriental languages meaning “wise “) probably descendants of some of these Israelites who had been taught by ” Buzi the Wise.”

These escaped Israelites are mentioned by Herodotus (Book I, Chapter 1) as belonging to the nation formed by Deioces and as revolting from Assyria and asserting their independence not many years after Israel’s deportation to Media in the reign of Hoshea. (II Kings, XVII 6). Here amongst these Israelites Buzi (Buddha) began his mission and in this region Buddhism was found in its most ancient form and which began to spread about 600 B.C., not as now professed and practised nor even altogether as it was established in India under King Asoka 300 years after its first propagation. As Dr. Moore (” Lost Ten Tribes “) observes
“it has been corrupted by various pagan additions and has assumed shapes according to the various idolatries it has encountered till at length but little of the original remains in a pure form, e.g., the celibacy of priests is now universal, but according to its own records its founder married twice if not thrice and gave his disciples precepts as to the choice of.a wife.”

The Israelitish character and origin of Buddhism is seen in many ways. It was a monotheistic reformation of the outcast tribes of Israel and its symbolism, that of
the” Wheel” on the top’s of Sanchi correspond exactly with that described in I Kings VII 33 as in Solomon’s temple. There is so close resemblance between
Ezekiel’s writings and the earliest Buddhist records and inscriptions as to prove that the prophet himself, the son of Buzzi, had for his father the original Buddha.

The story of the rock inscriptions at Girnar, Delhi and other places is one uniform lament of a nation overwhelmed by fire and sword, scattered and afflicted, and that as a purification from its sins and that in order to future cleansing and peace.

If early Buddhism is shown by Dr. Moore (“Lost Ten Tribes”) to be of Israelitish derivation, its Saxon origin and affinities are none the less clear. “Sakya” or “The
Saxon” was the founder of Buddhism; the claim for an Israelitish origin for the original Buddha through the name “Sakya” or “The Saxon,” son of Isaac, is further
strengthened by the fact that Buddha was also known as Jakku, son of Jacob (Commander Roberts “British History Traced” p. 83).

The early Buddhists looked upon themselves as men with a Divine mission and corrupted as has their religion been by Asiatic nations-just as new Testament teaching has been by the Latins-their influence is still widely felt in India, Ceylon, Burmah , Siam, China and Japan.

They broke down caste and destroyed brute worship demanding thought as the foundation of belief, and by teaching equality and goodwill as the foundation of moral excellence. Their disciples still profess to be open to new truths and they are expecting another Messiah.

Buddhism was introduced into India as Christianity is now, by the Saxon race. The religion which King Asoka established. as the state religion was that of a people who had issued from the neighbourhood of the Caspian Sea and carried their religion with them until it was established in India. The Tibetans themselves assert that the fair, high nosed people who came from the West and taught them their religion were the Sacae (Moore “Lost Tribes”). The Purana Vahrana record that the White Island ( Britain) Sacam or Saxum was early possessed by Sacae who founded Buddhism in the East.

The inscriptions on the Newton and Logie Stones of Scotland have undoubted Buddhist symbols upon them-the Lotus, the Wheel, the Lion and Unicorn, etc., corresponding with those of Eastern Buddhism.

There is a curious family sympathy and similarity between Scandinavian Mythology and Buddhism which had its rise in the same neighbourhood, whence, according to tradition and history our northern forefathers came (Roberts “British History Traced,” P. 62) .

"The Buddhists have never ceased to expect the “Desire of all Nations” to
come, and when our Lord returns to this earth, according to His sure
promise, there are 500,000,000 Buddhists waiting to acclaim Him as their
long expected Messiah. They in turn will be missionaries in many heathen
lands, and when purified from error have their part in the great
consummation of the ages when Our Lord ” shall see of the travail of His
soul and be satisfied.” Then also will be fulfilled the prophecy delivered by
Him during His ministry “They shall come from the east and from the west
and from the north and from the south and shall sit down in the Kingdom of
God.” Luke XIII.29."

Thanks for the laugh.

Just 3 paragraphs before the one you quoted says this:

It is not claimed that Buddhism in its present corrupted form, or those who now profess it, are Israelite, any more than that Latin Christianity and the Latin people are truly Christian or of Israel. What modern Romanism is to New Testament Christianity modern Buddhism is to the Israelite teaching of the primitive founder of Buddhism. Both are apostacies adopted or adapted by alien races, through Asoka in one case and Pope Gregory on the other; both when traced to their source prove their indebtedness to the Bible and Israel as the once for all chosen channel of Divine revelation and benediction to mankind.
In Japan the Rissho Association, based on right teaching, aspires to lead a revival of Buddhism. Dr. Charles Iglehart, a leader of the Protestant movement in Japan for fifty years, says:
"Protestantism never really came to grips with the common people of Japan. Protestantism is an urban, middle-class, intellectuals religion.".... "The truth is, Christian Churches do not proclaim the original faith of Jesus, any more than Buddhist temples reproduce the teaching of the historic Buddha."

It is her conclusion/view. Guess we will see.

The terrible, terrible lake of fire
Athet Pyan Shinthaw Paulu's story:

I learned later that I actually died for three days. My body decayed and stunk of death, and my heart stopped beating. My body was prepared for cremation and was put through traditional Buddhist purification rites.

The king of hell told me to look into the lake of fire. I looked and I saw the saffron colored robes that Buddhist monks wear in Myanmar. I looked closer and saw the shaven head of a man. When I looked at the man's face I saw it was U Zadila Kyar Ni Kan Sayadaw [the famous monk who had died in a car accident in 1983]. I asked the king of hell why my former leader was confined to this lake of torment. I said, "Why is he in this lake of fire? He was a very good teacher. He even had a teaching tape called 'Are You a Man or a Dog?' which had helped thousands of people understand that their worth as humans is far greater than the animals." The king of hell replied, "Yes, he was a good teacher but he did not believe in Jesus Christ. That's why he is in hell."

One Must be a Christian to be Saved!

References for this is found in John 14:6; Acts 4:12, and 26:28; 1 Peter 4:16. One cannot be a Christian without verbally confessing the deity of Jesus the Christ. One cannot even pray to God, let alone have sins remitted by Him, without approaching Him through Jesus (John 14:6 and 13, 15:16; 16:23-24; Romans 5:2, and Ephesians 2:18).

I know Muslims and Mormons, Christian Scientists, Jehovah Witnesses, Unitarians, Scientologists, Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus, Seventh Day Adventists -and many others - will not want to hear this, but the Bible declares that Jesus was the FINAL revelation of God to man (Hebrews 1:1-3). There have been no others.

I'm not a Buddhist scholar, but I'm familiar enough with it to know that the
text you quote is likely not from an authentic original Buddhist source. The
language used in that text is clearly of a christian bent, not Buddhist. It's
more likely a christianized screed written or influence by christian
missionaries. Buddhism says enlightenment is an inside job. Very human
bodhisattvas reincarnate from time to time (illusory) appear to guide the
way. You won't find the concept of sin or hell in buddhist teachings. And
metaphor is acknowledged. Buddhism is not theistic. Perhaps your own
indoctrination and lack of Buddhist investigation is influencing you.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christianity_in_Thailand

It smells like christian indoctrination which attempts to usurp buddhist
teachings dishonestly in order to promote christian teachings.

Again I'm curious about the etymology presented in your first article since
and it isn't sourced.

Find a Buddhist or other non-biblical source to confirm those claims and I'd
be interested. . I've done a simple search and haven't found any. All the
sources which make these claims are christian. If they were factual, cross
referencing in non-biblical text shouldn't be difficult.

Meanwhile, Buddhism does have a figure called Maitreya.

from link:

"Maitreya is a transcendent bodhisattva named as the universal Buddha of a
future time. The name is taken from the Sanskrit maitri (in Pali, metta), which
means "loving kindness." In Mahayana Buddhism, Maitreya is the
embodiment of all-encompassing love.

Maitreya is depicted in Buddhist art in many ways. "Classical" portrayals
often show him seated, as in a chair, with his feet on the ground. He is also
portrayed standing. As a bodhisattva he dresses as royalty; as a Buddha, he
dresses as a monk. He is said to reside in the Tushita heaven, which is part
of the Deva Realm of the Kamadhatu (Desire Realm, which is the world
depicted in the Bhavachakra).

n China, Maitreya is identified as the "laughing Buddha," Pu-tai, who is the
fat, jolly portrayal of Buddha that emerged from 10th-century Chinese
folklore.

Origins of Maitreya
Maitreya makes his first appearance in Buddhist scriptures in the Cakkavatti
Sutta of the Pali Tipitika (Digha Nikaya 26). In this sutta, the Buddha spoke
of a future time in which the dharma is entirely forgotten. Eventually,
"Another Buddha--Metteyya (Maitreya)--will gain Awakening, his monastic
Sangha numbering in the thousands," the Buddha said.

This is the only time the historical Buddha is recorded as mentioning
Maitreya. From this simple comment arose one of the most important
figures of Buddhist iconography.

In the early first millennium CE, Mahayana Buddhism developed Maitreya
further, giving him a history and specific attributes. The Indian scholar
Asanga (ca. 4th century CE), a co-founder of the Yogacara school of
Buddhism, is particularly associated with Maitreya Teachings.

Note that some scholars think attributes assigned to Maitreya were
borrowed from Mithra, the Persian god of light and truth.

Maitreya's Story
The Cakkavatti Sutta speaks of a distant time in which all skillfulness in
dharma practice is lost and mankind will war with itself. A few people will
take shelter in the wilderness, and when all others are slaughtered these few
will emerge and seek to live virtuously. Then Maitreya will be born among
them.

After this, various Mahayana traditions weave a story that closely resembles
the life of the historical Buddha. Maitreya will leave the Tushita heaven and
be born in the human realm as a prince. As an adult, he will leave his wives
and palaces and seek enlightenment; he will sit in meditation until he is fully
awakened. He will teach the dharma exactly as other Buddhas have taught
it.

Before getting too caught up in anticipation, it's important to understand
that in most schools of Buddhism linear time is an illusion. This makes
speaking of a literal future a bit problematic since "future" is an illusion.
From this perspective, it would be a huge mistake to think of Maitreya as a
messianic figure who will come in the future to save mankind.

Maitreya has rich metaphorical significance in several Mahayana sutras. For
example, Nichiren interpreted Maitreya's role in the Lotus Sutra to be a
metaphor for stewardship of the dharma.

Cults of Maitreya
One of the central teachings of the Buddha is that there is no one "out
there" who will save us; we liberate ourselves by our own efforts. But the
human craving for someone to come along, fix our messes and make us
happy is powerfully strong. Over the centuries many have made Maitreya
into a messianic figure who will change the world.
Here are just a few
examples:

A 6th-century Chinese monk named Faqing proclaimed himself to be the
new Buddha, Maitreya, and drew many followers. Unfortunately, Faqing
appears to have been a psychopath, persuading his followers to become
bodhisattvas by killing people.

A 19th-century spiritualist movement called Theosophy promoted the idea
that Maitreya, a world redeemer, would soon come to lead mankind out of
darkness. His failure to appear was a major setback for the movement.

The late L. Ron Hubbard, the founder of Scientology, claimed to be an
incarnation of Maitreya (using the Sanskrit spelling, Mettayya). Hubbard
even managed to patch together some bogus scripture to "prove" it.

An organization called Share International teaches that Maitreya, the World
Teacher, has been living in London since the 1970s and will gradually make
himself known. In 2010 Share's founder, Benjamin Creme, announced that
Maitreya had been interviewed on American television and had been seen
by millions. Creme failed to reveal what channel hosted the interview,
however.

People picking up on Creme's claim have decided Maitreya is the antichrist.
Views differ as to whether this is a good or bad thing.

It must be emphasized that even if Maitreya is to appear in a literal future,
this is not supposed to happen until the dharma is completely lost. And then
Maitreya will teach the dharma exactly as it has been taught before. Since
the dharma is available in the world today, there's no literal reason for
Maitreya to appear. There's nothing he can give us that we don't have
already.

So does Issa/Jesus/Yahshuah. 'Kingdom of God is within you.' So does the OT/Torah say that no more will they say learn of me, but I will be written in their hearts. (paraphrased).

Thee Old Covenant/Old Testament/Torah is filled with sin and redemption symbols and services and sacrifices for sin and redemption.

I am familiar with the Buddha teachings too. Many sects of Buddhism as there are Christianity. The one in Thailand and other areas practice merits, good deeds to earn or win favor or create good karma/dharma. Other sects including that in Thailand believe in a type of hell or purgatory. Paradise, Heaven, Nirvana- different words for enlightenment. THe aim for the Buddhist was to reach Nirvana to end the cycle of Karma- so it is with what some refer to Issa's/Yahshua's true teachings.

Jesus used parables for hell. Parables are not literal.

I learned that Isabel's article on Buddha the Israelite is just an article not a book and there are many references there.

I like her book, Celt, Druid and Culdee. Lots of references in it.

>>Again I'm curious about the etymology presented in your first article since and it isn't sourced.

Which one is that? My first link was about Joseph of Arimathea by her.

Lol, how the heck would she know?

Also, I have no idea if the etymology she talks about has any validity. There
isn't any source material provided, except of course a bible. So it comes
down to belief, otherwise known as a dead end, imo.

btw there were other bibles besides the king james version...thinking the geneva
bible comes to mind here but therewere otherstoo much older too.. But going further
back Moses wrote the Law and the tanakh was written written by many scribes of
israel. So the scriptures go way back in time. In the time of the kings of israel the
book of the Law, given to Moses by G_d was in the Temple and read to the kings of
israel.Pluswe have the qumran scrolls which validate scriptures too. Old and new
testament. The bible has been written by man men over a very long expanse of time
ancient.

Can any other earthly teacher/leader ever fulfilled that exactly? Or claim to be G_d?!
Nope, others were just good human teachers only who all died! Only Jesus
resurrected and is still alive!....in heaven at present but will be coming back shortly
in the flesh to straighten this crazy world out!

I don't practice religion myself...I'm a follower of Jesus because I saw Him in 3d in
my apartment for a 10 minute period. I was in my 30's at that time! I also had a
vision of Jesus going to the cross and G_d thundering that His Son died so that I
may have life! That was when I was 7 years old and have been having dreams,
visions and utterances ever since! So call me a 'witness'. I've been following after
Jesus since I first saw Him at the age of 7! Also G_d is very capable of preserving
the written scriptures! Also the Holy Spirit alone reveals what the written scripture
mean otherwise the bible is a closed book to those who are perishing!

1 cor 1:8...Christ Is God's Power and Wisdom
18The message about the cross doesn't make any sense to lost people. But for
those of us who are being saved, it is God's power at work. 19 As God says in the
Scriptures,

“I will destroy the wisdom
of all who claim
to be wise.
I will confuse those
who think they know
so much.”

20 What happened to those wise people? What happened to those experts in the
Scriptures? What happened to the ones who think they have all the answers? Didn't
God show that the wisdom of this world is foolish? 21 God was wise and decided
not to let the people of this world use their wisdom to learn about him.

Instead, God chose to save only those who believe the foolish message we preach.
22Jews ask for miracles, and Greeks want something that sounds wise. 23But we
preach that Christ was nailed to a cross. Most Jews have problems with this, and
most Gentiles think it is foolish. 24Our message is God's power and wisdom for the
Jews and the Greeks that he has chosen. 25Even when God is foolish, he is wiser
than everyone else, and even when God is weak, he is stronger than everyone else.

matt 11...25At that time Jesus declared, “I praise You, Father, Lord of heaven and
earth, because You have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and
revealed them to little children. 26Yes, Father, for this was well-pleasing in Your
sight.…
......

Another thing .....Jesus, not the bible is the Word of G_d ! Read john 1, and
revelations 19...Even Jesus was present in genesis 1!

john 1...The Word Became Flesh/human
1 In the beginning was the Word (Jesus), and the Word (Jesus)was with God, and
the Word (Jesus) was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God ( aka genesis 1). 3
All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was
made. 4 In him was life ( had the Holy Spirit within him), and the life was the light
(wisdom) of men. 5 The light (life) shines in the darkness, and the darkness
(carnality/sin) has not overcome it.

9 The true light, which gives light to everyone, was coming into the world. 10 He was
in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world did not know him.
11 He came to his own, and his own people did not receive him. 12 But to all who
did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of
God, 13 who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man,
but of God.

14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory,
glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. 15 (John bore
witness about him, and cried out, “This was he of whom I said, ‘He who comes after
me ranks before me, because he was before me.’”) 16 For from his fullness we have
all received, grace upon grace. 17 For the law was given through Moses; grace and
truth came through Jesus Christ. 18 No one has ever seen God; the only God, who
is at the Father's side, he has made him known.

genesis 1...The Creation
(John 1:1-5)

1In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

2Now the earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the
deep. And the 'Spirit of God' was hovering over the surface of the waters.

The First Day

3And God said, “Let there be light,”a and there was light. 4And God saw that the
light was good, and He separated the light from the darkness. 5God called the light
“day,” and the darkness He called “night.”
And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.

The Sixth Day

24And God said, “Let the earth bring forth living creatures according to their kinds:
livestock, land crawlers, and beasts of the earth according to their kinds.” And it was
so. 25God made the beasts of the earth according to their kinds, the livestock
according to their kinds, and everything that crawls upon the earth according to its
kind. And God saw that it was good.

26Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image ( Father and Son, and Holy
Spirit), after Our likeness, to rule(have dominion) over the fish of the sea and the
birds of the air, over the livestock, and over all the earth itself and every creature
that crawls upon it.”

27So God created man in His own image;
in the image of God He created him; (Adam)
male and female He created them. (Eve came from Adam's rib)

28God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and
subdue it; rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and every creature that
crawls upon the earth.” ( God was telling Adam and Eve to make lots of babies, lol
and have dominion over all the earth. Mankind is higher than the animal kingdom!)
.....

1 col 1:16...The Supremacy of Christ
15The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16For in
Him all things were created, things in heaven and on earth, visible (physical) and
invisible (spiritual aka the spiritual realms), whether thrones or dominions or rulers
or authorities. (types of angels that live in the spiritusl realm of heaven and the
aethers below that aka lower heavens) All things were created through Him( Jesus)
and for Him (Jesus). 17He (Jesus) is before all things (creation), and in Him ( Jesus)
all things hold together.…

The Holy Spirit 'reveals' scriptures aka gives understanding of scriptures. The Holy
Spirit brings scripture to remembrance too....

John 14
The way, the truth, and the life
14 “Don’t be troubled. Trust in God. Trust also in me. 2 My Father’s house has room
to spare. If that weren’t the case, would I have told you that I’m going to prepare a
place for you? 3 When I go to prepare a place for you, I will return and take you to be
with me so that where I am you will be too. 4 You know the way to the place I’m
going.”

5 Thomas asked, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going. How can we know the
way?”

6 Jesus answered, “I am the way(example), the truth (the Wisdom and revelation of
G_d), and the life( aka has the Holy Spirit within). No one comes to the Father
except through me. 7 If you have really known me, you will also know the Father.
From now on you know him and have seen him.”( Jesus is the physical
reflection/image and character of G_d)

8 Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father; that will be enough for us.”

9 Jesus replied, “Don’t you know me, Philip, even after I have been with you all this
time? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the
Father’? 10 Don’t you believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The
words I have spoken to you I don’t speak on my own. The Father who dwells in me
does his works. 11 Trust me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in
me, or at least believe on account of the works themselves. 12 I assure you that
whoever believes in me will do the works that I do. They will do even greater works
than these because I am going to the Father. 13 I will do whatever you ask for in my
name, so that the Father can be glorified in the Son. 14 When you ask me for
anything in my name, I will do it.

I won’t leave you as orphans
15 “If you love me, you will keep my commandments. ( love G_d with all heart,
soul, mind and body and your neighbour as yourself)16 I will ask the Father, and he
will send another Companion,[(aka the Holy Spirit)who will be with you forever. 17
This Companion is the Spirit of Truth, whom the world can’t receive because it
neither sees him nor recognizes him. You know him, because he lives with you and
will be with you. (Holy Spirit on the inside, with Jesus and the Father in the heart-
Holy Spirit is the fountains of living waters...from the belly...john 7:38...He that
believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly/innermost being/heart
shall flow rivers of living water.)

18 “I won’t leave you as orphans. I will come to you. 19 Soon the world will no longer
see me, but you will see me. Because I live, you will live too. 20 On that day you will
know that I am in my Father, you are in me, and I am in you. 21 Whoever has my
commandments and keeps them loves me. Whoever loves me will be loved by my
Father, and I will love them and reveal myself to them.”

22 Judas (not Judas Iscariot) asked, “Lord, why are you about to reveal yourself to
us and not to the world?”

23 Jesus answered, “Whoever loves me will keep my word. My Father will love
them, and we will come to them and make our home with them. 24 Whoever doesn’t
love me doesn’t keep my words. The word that you hear isn’t mine. It is the word of
the Father who sent me.

25 “I have spoken these things to you while I am with you. 26 The Companion, the
Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything and will
remind you of everything I told you.

27 “Peace I leave with you. My peace I give you. I give to you not as the world gives.
Don’t be troubled or afraid. 28 You have heard me tell you, ‘I’m going away and
returning to you.’ If you loved me, you would be happy that I am going to the Father,
because the Father is greater than me. 29 I have told you before it happens so that
when it happens you will believe. 30 I won’t say much more to you because this
world’s ruler is coming. He has nothing on me. 31 Rather, he comes so that the
world will know that I love the Father and do just as the Father has commanded me.
Get up. We’re leaving this place.

Aah, but to get the Holy Spirit this needs to happen....First you need Jesus and
know this..re

john 3...For God So Loved
(Genesis 22:1-10; Romans 5:6-11)

1Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a leader of the Jews.
2He came to Jesus at night and said, “Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher who
has come from God. For no one could perform the signs You are doing if God were
not with him.”

3Jesus replied, “Truly, truly, I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he
is born again.( aka born from above/born of Heaven aka born of Spirit-new creation
aka inner man) ”

4“How can a man be born when he is old?” Nicodemus asked. “Can he enter his
mother’s womb a second time to be born?”

5Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God
unless he is born of water and the Spirit. 6Flesh is born of flesh, but spirit is born of
the Spirit. 7Do not be amazed that I said, ‘You must be born again.’ 8The wind
blows where it wishes. You hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from
or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”
9“How can this be?” Nicodemus asked.
10“You are Israel’s teacher,” said Jesus, “and you do not understand these things?
11Truly, truly, I tell you, we speak of what we know, and we testify to what we have
seen, and yet you people do not accept our testimony.
12If I have told you about earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe
if I tell you about heavenly things? 13No one has ascended into heaven except the
One who descended from heaven—the Son of Man.( Jesus) 14Just as Moses lifted
up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, ( sin aka the sin
nature must be revealed and acknowledged) 15that everyone who believes in Him
(Jesus) may have eternal life.
16For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son ( Jesus), that
everyone who believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17For God did
not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through
Him. 18Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe
has already been condemned, because he has not believed in the name of God’s
one and only Son.

19And this is the verdict: The Light has come into the world, but men loved the
darkness( and sin) rather than the Light, because their deeds were evil. 20Everyone
who does evil hates the Light, and does not come into the Light for fear that his
deeds will be exposed. 21But whoever practices the truth comes into the Light, so
that it may be seen clearly that what he has done has been accomplished in God.”

John 16:13
But I tell you the truth, it is for your benefit that I am going away. Unless I go away,
the Advocatea will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you.
8And when He comes, He will convict the world in regard to sin and righteousness
and judgment: 9in regard to sin, because they do not believe in Me; 10in regard to
righteousness, because I am going to the Father and you will no longer see Me;
11and in regard to judgment, because the prince of this world has been condemned.
12I still have much to tell you, but you cannot yet bear to hear it.
13However, when the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all truth. For He
will not speak on His own, but He will speak what He hears, and He will declare to
you what is to come. 14He will glorify Me by taking from what is Mine and disclosing
it to you. 15Everything that belongs to the Father is Mine. That is why I said that the
Spirit will take from what is Mine and disclose it to you.

Romans 8-9
Life in the Spirit
8 There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. 2 For
the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and
death. 3 For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do. By
sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin,[c] he condemned sin
in the flesh, 4 in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in
us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. 5 For those who
live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who
live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. 6 For to set the
mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace. 7 For
the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God's law;
indeed, it cannot. 8 Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

9 You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells
in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him. 10 But
if Christ is in you, although the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because
of righteousness. 11 If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in
you, he who raised Christ Jesus[d] from the dead will also give life to your mortal
bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.

Galatians 5:16-25 Common English Bible (CEB)
Two different ways of living
16 I say be guided by the Spirit and you won’t carry out your selfish desires. 17 A
person’s selfish desires are set against the Spirit, and the Spirit is set against one’s
selfish desires. They are opposed to each other, so you shouldn’t do whatever you
want to do. 18 But if you are being led by the Spirit, you aren’t under the Law. 19
The actions that are produced by selfish motives are obvious, since they include
sexual immorality, moral corruption, doing whatever feels good, 20 idolatry, drug
use and casting spells, hate, fighting, obsession, losing your temper, competitive
opposition, conflict, selfishness, group rivalry, 21 jealousy, drunkenness, partying,
and other things like that. I warn you as I have already warned you, that those who
do these kinds of things won’t inherit God’s kingdom.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness,
faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against things like this.
24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the self with its passions and its
desires.
25 If we live by the Spirit, let’s follow the Spirit.
.....

I learned from Jesus that the written word of scripture is the 'sword of the spirit' as
Jesus used it Himself even and will yet again too when He returns.

revelations 19...Christ defeats the beast
11 Then I saw heaven opened, and there was a white horse. Its rider was called
Faithful and True, and he judges and makes war justly. 12 His eyes were like a fiery
flame, and on his head were many royal crowns. He has a name written on him that
no one knows but he himself.

13 He wore a robe dyed with blood, and his name was called the Word of God. (See
Jesus is the Word of G_d just like in john 1)

14 Heaven’s armies, wearing fine linen that was white and pure, were following him
on white horses.

15 From his mouth comes a sharp sword that he will use to strike down the nations.
He is the one who will rule them with an iron rod. And he is the one who will trample
the winepress of the Almighty God’s passionate anger. 16 He has a name written on
his robe and on his thigh: King of kings and Lord of lords.

Just a messenger only. Peace.

When the scribes wrote the biblical accounts and thru the prophets, The Holy Spirit
was overshadowing them...telling them what to speak and write. I can relate to that
myself even. When I get prompted to write what I see and hear...whether by dream,
vision or utterance it's like taking dictation...it's word by word and it is concise. The
Holy Spirit is completely in charge....same as those who write the scriptures.
Sometimes I can read scripture and I will hear different words in Spirit that brings
understanding to what the written word is trying to convey. It's like pieces of a puzzle
falling into place when the right words are revealed/spoken from Spirit. Anyways...

ps to the two articles I posted from the late Isabel Hill Elder; I do not agree with the website her articles have been placed on. I already have one of her books, called, Celt, Druid and Culdee for some years now and got to searching if she wrote anymore- and this site popped up.
Her book called Celt Druid and Culdee is available thru certain book sellers and you can also find it free on line in pdf, if interested.
