Cults abound these days, everywhere one turns...some are more obvious than others but they been around for ions...can almost seem norm in some instances but it's a strong delusion. |

Speaking of cults, why do some christians believe that cutting down a tree, sticking in in their home & decorating it is a good way to celebrate their idol, I mean savior? Especially when doing so drives many a beloved pet to drink. |

Ask some others besides me I don't do the Saturnalia and Winter solstice rituals, have not done so for 20 years since I learned the roots of the customs surrounding it and felt led in spirit to abstain despite what others are doing...even many non-Christians or fake ones, etc. observe it so there may be the key.... maybe you could ask them too. I suppose it has a lot to do though with doing what everybody else is doing and many being a pleaser of other peoples foremost ... it's mainly nowadays a marketing/sales occasion to promote a lot of junk as are the many holidays which I abstain from also...My heart is not in it and I was ready to stop by the time I came across the history of the trees and such...and also it was tiring trying to please people when it's easier to please God and more important to me to do so. I came to call the season the grump-grumpiest time of the year (instead of the song that says hap-happiest time fo the year). Now it's wonderful since I don't do all the rituals and people pleasing stuff and the shopping (ugh, the shopping). Okay, okay... I must admit I had some solar fairy lights and my neighbors who observe the Christmas I put them on my little Italian spruce tree they can see from their kitchen window on the side of the house and I may just leave them there...or not. It amused me and made them smile and I know that God can use things for the good what was meant for otherwise. ~⭐️~ |
