I just now took a pause to really try to listen especially after shadow posted it was well with the lyrics.
I had a hard time listening to this last night / this morning as I had a lot of incoming so i sort of only watched the first part as it was not quite speaking to me... and I forgot Peter Gabriel and Genesis till you reminded me as I only know about the history of the band from looking into it last year or so and knew you liked Genesis.
Then shadow posted her version but the visuals distracted me and the costume in your in the clip you presented and the many visuals on shadows and the words just not so clearly sung or maybe it's my speakers. But on shadows clip she shared I watched it through and saw this version to the side and this one is beautiful it speaks to me. I know what happened in Eden and it's not the way it's told at all though it's there sorta though it's the lack of spiritual depth and the teaching of men that thwart it and the covering up of the truth by the adversary. That union of the first two will reunite eternally in the true covenant of the everlasting never ending beautiful harmonious true union...for the Almighty it was in whom they are together like none other. Creation will be healed by that union. They have always been together though the enemy sought to tear them apart hence what is happening in this world. What God brought together no one can tear apart. No one and the gates of hell cannot withstand the strength of the true union.
Thank you for sharing as you did and for answering me kindly when I spoke in haste regarding the singer. I heard the song through and it's a lovely song that speaks to my soul more than you realize.
Fondly, ~Eve
"I caught sight of my reflection I caught it in the window I saw the darkness in my heart I saw the signs of my undoing They had been there from the start And the darkness still has work to do The knotted chord's untying The heated and the holy Oh they're sitting there on high So secure with everything they're buying In the blood of Eden lie the woman and the man With the man in the woman and the woman in the man In the blood of Eden lie the woman and the man We wanted the the union oh the union of the woman, the woman and the man My grip is surely slipping I think I've lost my hold Yes I think I've lost my hold I cannot get insurance any more They don't take credit, only gold Is that a dagger or a crucifix I see You hold so tightly in your hand And all the while the distance grows between you and me I do not understand In the blood of Eden lie the woman and the man With the man in the woman and the woman in the man In the blood of Eden lie the woman and the man We wanted the the union oh the union of the woman, the woman and the man At my request you take me in In that tenderness I am floating away No certainty, nothing to rely on Holding still for a moment What a moment this is Oh for a moment of forgetting A moment of bliss Oh I can hear the distant thunder Of a million unheard souls Of a million unheard souls Watch each one reach for creature comfort For the filling of their holes In the blood of Eden lie the woman and the man I feel the man in the woman and the woman in the man In the blood of Eden lie the woman and the man I feel the man in the woman and the woman in the man In the blood of Eden we have done everything we can In the blood of Eden, so we end as we began With the man in the woman and the woman in the man It was all for the union, oh the union of the woman, the woman and the man"

Well duh...I thought shadow had just shared a different rendition of the song you posted being what she copied of your words at the start "for those who can fathom" I only now went back to try to listen to the clip you posted Jeff after I posted a different version of the song shadow did...I tried to finish it but I can't no offense and it does not speak to me....Silly me I am in the grand stellar phase of embarrassing myself I guess but if ya'll only knew what I been through and go through and it's different for me than for most and it's all good....Oh well I walked through hell and back on my sojourn so a little embarrassment won't kill me at this stage... and my Lord finds me entertaining so it's all good.
Oh well I hope my error is used for the good. just the same ...I am glad you posted your song Jeff cause if not shadow would not have posted "In the Blood of Eden".
I figure you and others are scratching your head thinking what the 'ell is Eve talking about? Won't be anything new to me it happens all the time. At least I finally figure it out.
