Back 'in the day' there were gems that didn't blossom into life long.. but were rather a moment.. and the later part of the '60s had a lot of them. Ford Theater certain had their day.. and still get a spin around here now and then..
I remember putting this disk on with the same reverence given Procol Harum's In held 'Twis in I, or Loves Forever Changes.. Interesting how things age..

Ford Theater is an obscure band for sure.. I only know of them because as a kid a relative worked at Capital records and we’d get early pressings of disks, and boxes Capital would get of early pressings of records other labels would be circulating..
I was on the West Coast, and Ford Theater was from Boston. I don’t think they ever got air play where I was, but they were pretty popular in my house.. sorta like the Dead in their early playing. Like going back to Anthem of the Sun and realizing how the Dead evolved their playing. Ford Theater didn’t last long enough to develop their chops as it sounds like they had the potential..

Wow, so cool, having a relative at Capital then...
I'm sure Ford Theater wasn't the only phenomenon during those magical years that kinda synergized together, generated some amazing energy which then just went its own way with each of them...
