They happen less now after so many years, but I still have moments of grieving my vinyl collection, long lost to the chaos of life... ;( ;) Have always loved the whole Playing for Change intention and endeavor & am happy to see each new one coming out... ;) Some pieces are better than others, by various measures, but hey, folks could gather and connect in that excellent way & just spontaneously jam for awhile and I'd love it just as much... ;D |

Yeah, I remember the first one I watched on our new (at the time) big screen Plasma (energy hog) TV. I had just calibrated the color after setting it up. That video was the maiden voyage for that TV! "Stand By Me", Playing For Change! As I recall, there were New Orleans street musicians playing in the aftermath months of hurricane Katrina in the opening scenes?? Anyway, it works brilliantly to this day! I Love how everyone just 'gets it'! |
