I first heard this album at the Newport Airport in the summer of 1969
it had been out for a while, but I had not even heard of it
we were all taken with it and I remember the occasion and the people who were there like it was yesterday
I have two copies, the cd issue and the cd reissue and have all the lyrics printed out
this album came of the members being influenced by Bob Dylan
they had been his touring band and then later they recorded the basement tapes
their music is like old friends to many of us who "hung out" in the day
