Memories today return to me of going here to visit my grandparents when I was little, my three aunts, mom and me in my little rocking chair sitting on the front porch in the evening and my great grandma (matriarchal) taking her hair down which was so long, loverly and silvery black and brushing it...I remember the water well where the big wooden bucket in the kitchen with a ladle that everyone drank from. It brings me cheer to know that my great grandparents home was preserved and not torn down, so loverly.... Almost heaven....West Virginia mountain mother... take me home country roads...Thought to share this memory here maybe someone else enjoy a stroll back in time. Truly, ~Eve

found an old picture with the rocking chairs I remember....
The Pioneer Farm pictured above is a restored home on Bowers Ridge. The living history farm appears much like those of the 1830's providing a glimpse into the lives and times of the people who settled the Twin Falls area.
