I saw that the Saros Series for the upcoming Great American Solar Eclipse on April 8, 2024 is number 139. The Solar Saros Series 139 began in the year 1501.” The number 71 in a post by chatillion on skywatchers about comet 12 P/ Pons-Brooks made me remember the 71 in your post. The fact it too is also over North America after 71 years is interesting with its timing to the solar eclipse? |
