I have not heard this song in the longest time, I only visited this enchanting tune a few times in the past and wondered about the lyrics but had not memorized them. Anyway, I woke up with the tune to the music repeating in my mind today. It kept on replaying in the background of my thoughts so I thought the lyrics may mean something applicable so I came to look it up I did not recall the name of the song so I used search online with the words "heavenly choirs are singing st. peter song by coldplay".
The only words coming to me in regards to the lyrics were something about "St. Peter", "I used to rule the world" and "heavenly choirs are sining". It's the first thing I have done since I got online today. Now I am off to check what else is churning in this crazy world. ~🌴~ Eve
EXCERPT
Long Live Life "Viva la Vida" (Spanish for 'Long Live Life'; /ˈviːvə lə ˈviːdə/, Spanish: [ˈbiβa la ˈβiđa]) is a song by British rock band Coldplay. It was written by all members of the band for their fourth album, Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends (2008).
The lyrics to the song contain historical and Christian references, and the track is built around a looping string section in unison with a digitally processed piano, with other layers gradually being added as the song builds.
The track was released on 13 June 2008[4] as the album's second single, debuting to critical acclaim and commercial success. "Viva la Vida" reached the top spot of the UK Singles Chart and Billboard Hot 100, becoming the band's first number-one single in both the U.S. and U.K. The song won the Grammy Award for Song of the Year at the 51st Annual Grammy Awards in 2009.
I used to rule the world Seas would rise when I gave the word Now in the morning, I sleep alone Sweep the streets I used to own
I used to roll the dice Feel the fear in my enemy's eyes Listen as the crowd would sing Now the old king is dead, long live the king One minute, I held the key Next the walls were closed on me And I discovered that my castles stand Upon pillars of salt and pillars of sand
I hear Jerusalem bells a-ringin' Roman Cavalry choirs are singin' Be my mirror, my sword and shield My missionaries in a foreign field For some reason, I can't explain Once you'd gone, there was never, never an honest word And that was when I ruled the world
It was a wicked and wild wind Blew down the doors to let me in Shattered windows and the sound of drums People couldn't believe what I'd become Revolutionaries wait For my head on a silver plate Just a puppet on a lonely string Oh, who would ever want to be king?
I hear Jerusalem bells a-ringin' Roman Cavalry choirs are singing Be my mirror, my sword and shield My missionaries in a foreign field For some reason, I can't explain I know Saint Peter won't call my name Never an honest word But that was when I ruled the world
I hear Jerusalem bells a-ringin' Roman Cavalry choirs are singin' Be my mirror, my sword and shield My missionaries in a foreign field For some reason I can't explain I know Saint Peter won't call my name Never an honest word But that was when I ruled the world

That’s strange because I heard a few weeks ago the French version of this? I heard “joie de vivre” . I don’t speak French but I understood it to mean “joy of life”. Viva la vida is Spanish for “live the life”.
Thanks sher! While the song in French is named "Joie de Vivre" it is not the same tune nor lyrics. There are a few songs with the same name but this song by Coldplay is different because of the lyrics. I felt for me the incoming Coldplay song was an encouragement as it's from the album "Death and all his friends" which I sense the incoming message for me is death and his friends are near to being tossed into the lake of fire. (Rev. 20:14)
In the post I shared with the info on the meaning of the words in Spanish it said it means "long live life" and that to me is encouraging. Live the life in Spanish is "vivir la vida" ...while long live life is "viva la vida" the difference is the first word vivir vs. viva.

As I walked away from the computer after posting the song and lyrics it came to me to search history for June 13th the day the track to "Viva La Vida" was released because this is a day in 2016 that was significant to me ...a day of personal freedom if you will and also of major war in the spirit preparation. I find it interesting that it is 2016 on the Ethiopian calendar while on all others it is 2024. Moses married an Ethiopian and in Ethiopia the "Book of Enoch" has always been as far as I know a part of the Ethiopian Orthodox canon.

"For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this world’s darkness, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore take up the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you will be able to stand your ground, and having done everything, to stand your ground, and having done everything, to stand. …(Ephesians 6:12 & 6:13)
