I woke up this morning, Feb. 5th, and heard a voice say:
"A spring heatwave is on its way, for much of the US and
parts of Canada."
That was all that was said.

I can see this starting now. From a news article;
"The FOX Forecast Center is tracking a heat wave that
promises to send temperatures soaring 10-30 degrees
above average during what is considered to be the final
week of meteorological winter.
Southerly winds circulating around a ridge of high
pressure will help thermometers reach statuses that are
more typical of April and May.
"It has been a very warm month for February – 5 degrees
above the average," said FOX Weather meteorologist Jane
Minar. "And this warmth, what we’re talking about over
the South, is expected to flip-flop across the northern
tier. So, in places like Chicago, temperatures are up
in the 60s as we go into next week."
Forecast models show 70-degree temperature readings
reaching as far north as southern Minnesota on

Thanks for posting that-yeah, today is high of 42 and
sunny- and normally its much colder. Not warm enough for
me but I'm older and still have to bundle up and have
the heat on- its a bit windy here too which makes it
feel colder to me.

Agreed, 42 isn't that warm; I am 63 now, and find 72F is
about my happiest temperature! :)
But it's abnormal to have those kind of temperatures in
winter. I read someone in Toronto saying that usually
they can't see the ground for 4 months due to snow, but
now she's looking at grass shoots (she showed a photo),
which is not usual in February there at all.

Interesting, part of my early morning dreaming was about
being in a heat wave with high humidity, something we
never get here in SW Mt.

That's interesting, Pam! Given the climate spinning out
of control, wouldn't surprise me ..... we will see.
