If not mistaken the long drawn out siren would be an ambulance siren and the other one the "whoop" you describe would be a police siren. I did an online query of what does then name Barstow mean out of curiosity and the oddest thing came up below the first response result as to the meaning of Barstow which was "where did the name Destrehan come from"?....So remote a response how strange as I was like hum...I used to live in Destrehan and hum ...it's in Louisiana where chatillion currently lives....Is there a connection as in something happens in Barstow, CA to River Road in Louisiana to the Gulf of Mexico ??? Don't know but copying and pasting the query result for to show. for those who are not familiar with River Road, LA here is an excerpt from wikipedia: "River Road in Louisiana is the most well-known segment of the Great River Road in the United States. We will be traveling down the 395 to San Diego on the 21st of this month. We will be passing Ridgecrest, Garlock, and coming out on the Hwy 15 near Hesperia, south west of Barstow. Earthquake? OK. Nuke? not OK. Fingers crossed either way. 🤞 |
