I have a lousy memory, so, bare with me please.

The movie 2012 was on TV last night - again - and I remembered someone here said some of the scenes (California falling into the ocean for example) were based on something a man had predicted - someone whose predictions were uncannily very accurate.

As memory serves, his predictions were all supposed to come true before his child died? And his child is now an old man?

Anyone remember the name of this guy???
