Subject: August newsletter -- overview from a Western astrology angle

THE CURRENT QUALITY OF TIME

Mars, Uranus, North Node in Taurus

We can expect plenty of excitement in the first few days
of August. Mars, Uranus and the Moon's Node form a
conjunction in Taurus during the first two days. Expect
the unexpected, shake-ups and proverbial or even real
tremors during these days. Fortunately, the Sun is in a
harmonious aspect with Jupiter in Aries. This time may
well bring sudden breakthroughs and energetic progress
for the better. However, what was already poorly
established before could now collapse. In any case, the
events of these days will have a great impact on the
further events of the year and will affect many. At this
time, foolish actions taken in the heat of the moment are
dangerous and can have serious and lasting consequences.

Mercury enters Virgo on August 4. It now becomes more
apparent what has actually happened in the last few days.
However, it is too early for a final judgment. Mars
squares Saturn in Aquarius on August 7, which could put a
strain on frustration tolerance. Venus in Cancer
simultaneously makes a trine to Neptune in Pisces, an
opposition to Pluto in Capricorn on the 9th, and then
enters Leo on the 11th. The mood swings back and forth
between compassion and sarcasm before we finally remember
our own dignity. The Sun forms a trine to Chiron in Aries
on the 8th and a square to Uranus and the Moon's Node on
the 11th. For a moment there is room for maneuver, which
should be used decisively, especially if there is an
opportunity to address misunderstandings or old hurts.
Some old issues can be cleared up and closed now.

Full Moon in Aquarius

The climax of this time is the Aquarius Full Moon on
August 12, which is conjunct Saturn and square Uranus and
the Moon's Node. This highly charged quality of time is
intense and challenging. However, with courage and
determination, its creative potential can be liberated
and utilized. An important step in a collective "birthing
process" is now taking place, and as with a real birth,
there is now only one possible direction of movement:
forward. Stability now means surrendering to the flow of
development while remaining focused. On August 14, when
the Sun opposes Saturn and Mars reaches a trine to Pluto,
the difference between real authority and authoritarian
behavior could become clearly visible.

Mercury

The second half of the month is clearly marked by the
activity of Mercury, the messenger of the gods. It trines
Uranus and the lunar nodes on August 16, opposes Neptune
on the 21st, and trines Pluto on the 22nd. Mars enters
Gemini on August 20, and the Sun enters Virgo on the
23rd. Life continues, and dealing with day-to-day matters
allows no delay, although much improvisational talent is
now required. There is lively communication, although not
everything that is proclaimed now will necessarily be
true. Especially in the days of the New Moon on August
27, nerves could be raw. Mars is square to the New Moon,
Venus forms a square to Uranus at the same time as well
as an opposition to Saturn (exact on the 28th). Personal
claims may have to be put aside, and sensitivities -
one's own as well as those of others - may have to be
endured."

This current conjunction of transiting Mars-Uranus-node at 18’ Taurus is
conjunct my natal Mars 18’/Jupiter 24’ conjunction.

Pluto is conjunct my descendant/opposite my ascendant.

Pluto is square my natal sun/Saturn opposition.

Transiting Saturn is in natal 8th house of death.

Transiting Venus is conjunct natal Uranus in 12 house of endings.

Looks like a perfect sh*t storm.

Many writers about astrology liken Uranus to a weed whacker tearing
thru one’s life/chart. Fortunately it has always acted like a guardian angel
in my chart. We’ll see. Pluto is a train wreck in slow motion.

What I find annoying about astrology is you never know until its over.
Then you can relate it events that came out of the blue. And its never
over cause new combinations are forming all the time.

Angelina, I agree with you - with hindsight you think,
"WOW. Look at that. The very day my dad died, Pluto was
right on my Sun!" or whatever. :) But harder to see
before!
I am an astrologer, and no, you're not gonna die yet,
don't worry. I've studied this subject for 40 years,
and the charts of many people who died.
Yes, Uranus can bring shocks, sudden events, but I will
tell you what I've learned over 40 years.

One: when a major event happens, you will see (with
hindsight!) that just about every planet is striking
something in your chart. Not 3 or 4 aspects, but 10,
say.

Two: Midpoints are important! This is why amateur
astrologers sometimes go wrong, they aren't looking at
the midpoints. Count the degrees between 2 planets, and
see where the midpoint of them is. Transits to that
point have a great effect, as TWO planets are activated
at once, see.

Eg; the "Point of Greatest Danger" in a chart, often
triggered at death, is the midpoint of Mars - Pluto.
For example, say you have Mars at 15. 00' Aries, and
Pluto at 26.12 Virgo; the Mars/Pluto midpoint is at
5.36'Cancer. Watch for aspects to that point. Pick any
two planets in your chart ..... Sun/Moon,
Mercury/saturn, anything; and calculate their midpoint.
You'll see how when the midpoint got activated, some
event occurred.

Three, Transits can mean a bad day, sure, but you won't
even remember it 6 years later! For actual events,
PROGRESSIONS are what show them.

ie; No progressed aspects but horrific transits; not a
great week, but no major events will happen.
A progressed aspect AND transits; expect an actual
event in your life, good or bad; promotion, birth of a
child, house move, injury, illness, a windfall,
whatever.

It's not hard to draw up a progressed chart. The rule
is, add one degree for each year of life. (and 0.30 = 6
months, 0.15' = 3 months, etc).
So, say you're 47 and a half; move every planet in your
chart forwards by 47.30' degrees, and you have your
Progressed Chart for this time.

So, let's say your Sun is at 4.00' Gemini, and your
Uranus is at 24.30 Leo. At the age of exactly 60 years
& 6 months, expect some kind of "shock" event or sudden
change. (you can usually work out what it is, by its
other aspects, its house position, etc etc).

So, pick any planet in your birthchart, add your age,
see where that planet has progressed to, then notice if
it's aspecting any planet in the natal chart. You will
ALWAYS find a progressed aspect, when any major life-
event happens.
You won't fail with those methods; I have a 99% success
rate.

PS, Typo in my post above, sorry! I meant to write:

& 6 months, expect some kind of "shock" event or sudden

Well, first of all...any astrologer who would even make
an effort to determine your time of death is not, in most
professional opinions as well as mine, an astrologer
worth their ethical salt, so to speak. And as you say,
while many suggestions can be offered as far as how
specific transits *might play out,* where the rubber
meets the road is always found in retrospect when the
transit's passed... ;)

And wow, that is quite the array of them you have going
on! ;) It's great that Uranus has been your friend
transit-wise! When it comes to how the upcoming
Mars/Uranus/Node conjoining your natal Mars/Jupiter might
outpicture, I'd need to know on which house cusps the
signs Aries and Sagittarius are found on your chart, as
they're the signs those planets rule, respectively, and
would help show what areas of your life t. Mars/Uranus
(male energy plus unexpected changes) are most likely to
impact... Same with which houses have Leo and Capricorn
on them, to have an idea what areas of life t. Pluto,
squaring your Sun/Saturn, will bring its cosmic enema to
(lol)...

T. Pluto conjunct/opposite your descendant/ascendant can
bring many multi-leveled "tests" within the arena of
relationships, that can reveal whether the dynamics going
on within them are based upon individual/shared *healthy
personal power in balance,* or upon *control games & self
vs. other* energetics. If that makes sense. Wherever your
own sovereignty and your own sense of personal power and
need for boundaries feels out of balance with others, in
relationship...whether you're unconsciously controlling
them, or they, you...these issues will come to the
surface for your conscious attention.

T. Saturn through the eighth can have a lot to do with
*shared resources,* whether we're speaking of money,
property, sexuality that shares one's deepest; it
concerns intimacy in every context. So here Saturn
ultimately tests how intimate (and thus authentic) we are
able to be with *ourselves,* first and foremost, because
that's what translates literally into how intimate we
have the capacity to be with others. Know Thyself, at
depth, as it were.

T. Venus conjunct Uranus in the 12th might signify
several things! Anywhere else but the 12th, I'd say there
might be a sudden, unexpected *expansion of horizons*
either in a romantic-love context or within one's own
(female energy, Venus) sensibilities and/or way of
experiencing and assimilating *new everything*... In the
12th, hm...discovering unexpected contexts of new
experience within realms of serving others, of
experiences of Oneness through that or in other
(unexpected) ways...?

Doesn't look like a perfect sh*tstorm to me! ;) Looks
like a lot happening at once that will not fail to bring
you into greater awareness of yourself on many levels...
;)

My analogy for Uranus has always been the lightning bolt,
or the rug that's pulled out from beneath us when we've
become too cozy within current comfort-zone territory
that does not serve the needs of our greater growth. ;)

I hope this helps some... I don't really practice
anymore, I get way too much energy and information to
process & relate to someone linearly, at this point in my
life...but occasionally I can tap in briefly or share a
few tidbits like this... ;)

Best to you!
