Please confirm by private email.
Frankly, without the courtesy of advance notice to all of us that you were sanctioning "alternative moderators," I for one consider this a betrayal, both of your chosen "moderators" and of all the rest of us.
If you had advised and confirmed to everyone that you had selected stand-in "moderators" for an absence of yours that you had not advised us either -- and something you had never done before -- I believe that all of u would have accepted your management decision.
You did nothing to either advise the posters and lurkers on this site that you were deputizing stand-in moderators or give your chosen moderators credibility and legitimacy -- and, eventually, the anonymity they deserve to maintain credibility.
Exceedingly poor management, lousy judgement.
If this scenario is true, you owe everyone, especially Chatillion and LA Man, a huge apology.
