somehow all the files got deleted from the server ...they just restored them from backup...still trying to find out what the hell happened...

I was wondering what happened. Yesterday my whole internet went down. Thought it was a virus, still am not sure what happened. Our air conditioner kicked a circuit breaker, and my puter turned off too so that's prolly the cause.
Tonight I came to see if anything new was happening and it looked like everybody left!
Sure is a faster server though, that's for sure!!

Could be a number of things. This site has misbehaved on and off for a while. I got a nasty virus surfing through here. (a trojan dropper to be precise) Lowers your settings on internet security and then FUNNELS bs onto your pc.)
Yahoo will not load on and off. I don't know wtf is going on but because of this I have not been on here for a while.
Be sure to use a couple of very good freeware progs to clean out your pc (I am using them daily right now.)
The first is Advanced System care, works to dump stuff that a cache dump will not and the other is Malwarebytes (pulls all kinds of worms trojans etc out of your system)
Beware, there is one virus that is popping up a lot right now its called AV Suite. Do not click on anything on this dirty little bastard. Unplug your pc FAST. Go into safe mode (F8) and runs these scans, they do work.
Check the above programs on sites like MajorGeeks and CNET they come highly recommended.
It took me three days to fully resolve this nasty piece of work as it holds your computer hostage and will not let you run anything and if you do manage to dump it, it may still come back and when it did this to me the FALSE av kept telling me that malwarebytes WAS A VIRUS to get me to remove it.
I would personally recommend that you download both of the other programs and run a scan, this trojan can luck in the background w/o you knowing it and then destroy your harddrive. (it will even load porn onto your computer and I don't have it as I am the only person who uses this pc)

when i click on my post from July 11, "the buildings stopped long ago :: we are stil in free fall - just another mutterer 11-Jul-2010 18:07:11 (0)" on the "Let It All Hang Out (LIAHO)" page, http://earthboppin.net/talkshop/anything/, the link to that post is to the main menu page, http://earthboppin.net/talkshop/mainmenu.htm from which there is no return backward, and forward shows the "Let It All Hang Out (LIAHO)" page with posts deleted back to July 10 :: no big though :: i learned long ago to archive my own material
