i mentioned in a previous post that i started these boards so the old syzygy gand from JOB's boards would have a place to continue meeting after his boards died...here is a list of a lot of that old gang, taken from the FAQ page...not complete, but lots of memories in these names...some i agreed with on most things, some i did not...yet we all had a pretty damn good time over the years for the most part...some are still around...

as I recall, flame wars on SYZYGY began after September
11, 2001 and drove JOB crazy trying to deal with the
emotional outbursts ... when he went to registration he
lost me and it was only by a fluke that I found your new
let it all hang out ... so, how many times have I gotten
a time out? but you keep letting me come back, why is
that? you know I always stir the pot and yet here I am

mcon, avant garde, just another mutterer, and John Galt
were my misnomers ... but I began posting on Mayday in
the year 1996 with a post about "Hells Ridge" and my
first handle was "horst graben" which got a laugh out of
JOB who said my analysis was a tour de force but that he
did not believe a word of it ... JOB himself was a
masterpiece for beginning syzygy like he did

I arrived at syzygy in 2001, under the handle Jeff/Reno,NV.
Was more of a lurker, but did post on occasion. Back then Jody/concord,CA
was my hero, as I thought she was the best EQ predictor on syzygy. I also
formatted my handle like her's. May want to add Jody to your list.
I know kiwi was around on early EB, and remember he drove you nuts.

I was a devoted "fan" of syzygy and Berklund because of
his many appearances on Art Bell's Coast to Coast.
I was a "lurker", not a poster.
I did the same on Earth Boppin for some time before
actually posting as "Saclee" before moving to "nevada" in
2003. Many changes in the last 20 years, the most
obvious being the continued loss of respect for others by
"many" of my fellow democrats.

As JTRIV I was on syzygy for a long time, mainly on the Hot Sheets Solar
board before moving on to Earthboppin. And as Pamela mentioned the
whole place was non political.

Whoa...does that ever take me back... I was Susan on syzygy
and for years after... Wasn't there someone else who took
things over for just a little while before you did, Ryan?
Some brief interim...? Will! That was his name! But can't
recall if he moderated syzygy then extended it or what...

yah, will was the moderator/web guy for JOB...i gave him a lot of shit back in the day for how out of control the syzygy boards were...there were a bunch of bad actors that made things bad there...porn, spam, viscious personal attacks, threats...the internet was still the wild west in those days...i miss them...lol...

I remember finding the syzygy board after searching for
information on the boxing day quake (12/26/04)..and
remembered Jim's 1989 predictive works..and started
posting on the earthquake boards. So, joined at the end
of 2004..then moved over to bopp's boards when those
started.
Seismology and Geophysics have always been a passion for
me.

thanks, also someone's passed away on the list you gave-
EMoon. I think some others too like Don In Berkeley and
Petra. Its okay you didn't include everyone but its nice
to reminise. I posted a link on Groans too. When I was
there at JOBS briefly, I never posted on the National or
International. Just stuck to Sensitives and dreams
mainly. Just imagine what this place be like if no
politics here, Lol.
