I do apologize for the language I used towards etc. It was unnecessary, counterproductive and not nice. No, I am not ‘unhinged’, but admit the behavior was. I also apologize for misdirecting my disappointment towards etc because it was really meant to be expresses to you, Bopp. Sorry, but I had expectations. More on that in a bit. Etc, do you remember the interaction 2 or 3 years ago in which you accused me of lying on the national board? You insinuated yourself into an interaction I think I was having with dan. I don’t even recall what it was about, but I do remember you chiming in out of the blue to accuse me of not being honest about something I previously posted. It was Pamela who dredged up the relevant post from the archives who proved that I was indeed telling the truth. I didn’t post the lie you accused me of. You were wrong. Do you remember? And do you remember your response? I do. Silence. You said nothing. In fact, I recall instead you did something you frequently admonish others for doing - you changed the topic of the thread. Instead of acknowledging your mistake, & acknowledging that your accusation was completely unwarranted, you went off on a tangent about yourself and your family. I know I’ve brought this up several times since it happened. I kept thinking you might offer an insightful reply. But here we are once more. Recently, again you felt the need to interject yourself into an interaction which didn’t involve you, only to accuse me of wrongly accusing dan of lying about me. And again, you were wrong. Want to know why I don’t use anonymous sources? Because for the many years I’ve been posting here, up until suddenly now, Bopp has forbidden them. I have always honored this standard. I think it’s a good one. Bopp has frequently admonished people who don’t give links or use anonymous sources. Right Bopp? Suddenly he seems to have changed his mind. So Bopp, when you say “…Akira has a right to post and be heard, but others have a right to call her on bs if that's what they see, and then she can defend her position…”You have it ass backwards. You’re revealing how dysfunctional your thinking really is. Since when does the burden of proof fall on an innocent person when she’s being erroneously accused of wrongdoing? I’m done with the dysfunction. You’re right about the dearth of critical thinking around here. For instance a critical thinker likely wouldn’t reflexively accuse Russia of blowing up its own pipeline without a shred of evidence. As several folks here did. A critical thinker might ask questions such as - which state has the most to gain? Who has a history of doing the thing? Who has the power & influence to keep other states players quiet? Now etc, suppose someone here accused you of lying, or falsely accused you of saying something on this site (or anywhere) when you know you didn’t say or write it? Would you remain silent or would you come to the tech board to talk about Truth? Again. Bopp, you accused me of posting ‘wacky’ sources. I’d love to know what you consider wacky these days. Sy Hersh? Okay. And I’m sorry to have to tell you, but people are going to grow or choose not to, whether your site exists or not. It’s a shame the national & international boards have no space for conversation, for real, healthy debate. No one is interested in finding common ground here. So I’ll leave ya’ll to it. What is also clear, is that you will go to extraordinary lengths to attempt to prove your point, no matter how accurate your defense may be. You seem to consider yourself to be pristine, incapable of making a mistake. And when you do make one you defend it ferociously. Hi Dan, Sorry buddy, but while Herr Bopp rules the roost here he doesn’t get to define words like trolling or bullying. Dan, it appears that you are all over the place doing the righteous thing protecting your views by trolling anyone who adds a link or talks of something that may be of a conservative view point. Was wondering the same yesterday, it is what it is. I'm just a little surprised it's allowed, never would have thought. It reminds me when a naughty child is allowed by it's parents to bully others, really no difference. Then you look at the parents wondering what's wrong with them for allowing their child to be mean. Just like some schools that turn a blind eye to the unfortunate students who get bullied, and when they defend themselves against the bullying, they themselves are the one'swho get suspended from school. Sometimes those that can't be helped by others, have to learn on their own (stubborn as can be, too many bricks around Thee). Reminds me when I was with three Wise One's along the shore of the River of Life in Heaven when I was trying to help someone who was on earth. I wasn't able to draw them towards heaven, so I had to reincarnate into earth to try and wake them up. It's not an easy task trying to help those that are stubborn. Seems you want to help people on earth, and because of that you will have a long life. But no, not everyone is reachable, they can't be helped, unless they want to be helped. |

I thank you for the apology too Akira. If you find posts to show me of the altercation and accusation that you can’t remember what was about, I will gladly read them for clarity. We have different memories of the past. I remember being ganged up by you and a group for weeks on end, finding myself mentioned in random posts of others with no context except to continue a vendetta. Like you did to Dan recently. If instead you discussed the details leading up to the accusation, clarity could have prevailed and been documented. But that didn’t/hasn’t happened. Standing up for one’s self involves more than attacking others in my opinion. I wish you well, here if you return. Out there in your life if not. |

I hope you are not so upset that you leave the site .. Yes - it was bad .. but you will never 'win' that 'debate' .. The left has free reign on the right here .. Bopp chooses not to contain it because he sides with them .. I think I have seen him criticize his side about three times. He does not care about expanding the site so he has no reason to try to contain it .. I have been banned for months (if i recall correctly) before because I lost it and went after someone on his side .. Stick around and take the heat .. ...actually akira, several people on EB have advocated in their own ways for finding "common ground" here, myself included. The problem is that it's rarely well received and opens the door to the climate you just described. Ultimately the "choice" of whether this remains a "toxic" environment is up to ryan and whether he wishes to be the "problem" or the "solution". Personally I prefer the "solution oriented approach" which is often alluded to on EB but rarely administered evenly or fairly. I appreciate your many positive contributions to EB over the years and am embarrassed that ryan allowed the attacks on you that eventually led to your frustration and responses. It would be nice if etc would apologize for her inappropriate words and antisocial behavior but I suspect she feels she has nothing to apologize for. In another time, that's where a "Bopp" would have played an important role in maintaining balance and respect for others as well as the forum. I hope you'll still post here in what are proving to be amazing and "interesting" times. Finding "common ground" would be an excellent start for all of us on EB... ...followed by respect for diversity and for each other. |
