...on WOWS than on National...
...probably a good time for some of us to show more
respect and maturity for a change.
It seems that the more I suggest a more respectful and
considerate approach to posting here, the more I get
"attacked", and in some cases, actually banned.
The "spin meister" is how some describe my "sincere"
approach to smoother and more meaningful
communications.
I actually "respect" all of those posting here, even if
I may disagree with what is sometimes said. I don't
know the actual numbers, but I suspect fewer people are
taking the time to post here than in the past,
especially those that may hold more conservative views
but I also see a lot of more liberal posters sitting on
the bylines. Perhaps ryan can tell us if that is true or
not.
While I understand that millions of dollars invested in
negative political ads may sway elections, it seems
rather out of place in forums like EB that seek a
slightly more mature approach to the search for
enlightened and sincere conversations.
Just my thoughts...
...would love to hear from others, especially those that
may not be posting here as much as they used to.

More like: Basic humanitarian (Constitutional) rights and
freedoms for All first, friends. Its relentless momentum

...an indication of times to come.
What will we do when we get to the Pearly Gates and are

I wouldn't want to be the cause of people leaving ..
No one is here anymore - I have wondered why .. Some
just leave and don't bother to say why .. I certainly
have from time to time .. I didn't notice a change when
I did leave for a month or so ..
I certainly do give them plenty of room for discussion
.. perhaps that's a bad thing .. I find opinions
interesting .. They are a reflection of where people are
in their lives and how they react to others...

I took a rare trip outside Nevada for thanksgiving and
found myself listening to an old friend, KVMR Community
Responsive FM out of Nevada City and Kat's Grass Valley.
To verify what I am saying here you can find KVMR at
kvmr.org and judge for yourself.
The young woman broadcasting live was pleasant,
passionate, and an excellent communicator... did I
mention positive? After about an hour of music, she
took a break and described what Thanksgiving meant to
her and her family. Never was there a hint of sarcasm
or putting anyone down for their beliefs. I was close to
tears by her sincerity and ability to clearly
communicate what this day meant to her.
She spoke from her heart. It was the same "spirit" and
heart that I first heard and respected on KVMR when the
station went on the air in July of 1978 with an all
volunteer staff and a loving spirit. I am going to
suggest she is the third generation of broadcaster to
grace KVMR's studios and still epitomizes the stations
"original" respect for their fellow broadcasters and the
northern California communities they continue to serve
after some 44 years on the air.

We all could be better if one applies ‘To each hi/ her own’.
When we all STOP listening to each other as where/ when the problem

IMO I have plenty of family that are liberals but in our hearts we still

Well, that's a lovely story, Nevada, about people who
know the meaning of genuine respect and celebration of
All People...
I suggest you keep reflecting on it! Perhaps at some
point you will absorb and integrate at least some measure
of those meanings, so those who read your words claiming
these values as your own will feel some actual substance
of experiential wisdom within them, rather than their
ringing hollow as they do now... (i.e., when you claim
these values and then in the same breath fawn over the
superiority of dictator Xi and China's "accomplishments"
that you cheerfully declare to be "more important" than
ours, regardless that they're achieved upon the backs,
the rights and very lives of disappeared human beings,
there...just so we're clear...)
Would it be too much for *you* to actually embody and
speak from those specific values in ways that ring deeper

Perhaps I neglected to mention that I was the "father" of
KVMR and established those values even before the first
broadcast some 44 years ago.
Respect for each other was my gift to them and they have
embraced and grown it ever since.
If 700 broadcasters "get it", why the hesitancy here?
Interesting that you could understand the "magic" of KVMR
but not see the same in me.

Like KVMR, "peacemakers" are everywhere.
Sometimes the only problem is our hesitancy to actually
