Mr. Bopp, I am making a formal complaint about the absolutely hateful
posts Lee has been making on the National board about the attempted
murder of Paul Pelosi. I know you are aware of the many posts Lee has
made on this subject the last few days. Hate speech is not free speech.
Many have tried to curtail and encourage Lee to stop such action. But Lee
has only ramped up his abusive rhetoric. If allowed to continue on this
site, I believe that this site becomes an enabler of hate speech as well.
Yes, I can leave Boppin and let Lee continue on. But I believe one must
first fight for what is right and hope that a remedy can be enacted that will
stop what is most certainly dangerous in this day of tumult in our country.
I make a public plea for intervention because I feel so strongly that no one
and nowhere in our country is safe where this kind of mindset is allowed
to spread, creating even worse violence against what most certainly will
be innocent people.

I recall a year or 2 ago etc accused me of posting a lie. Turned out she was
proven to be 100% wrong.
Now she shows up here essentially threatening to leave if a person with a
perceived erroneous opinion isn’t banned because it really, really upsets her.
I think banning a poster for expressing opinions which trigger a negative
reaction in yourself & others is short-sighted and a bigger mistake than you
might realize. Seems as though that's why you banned Jim as well. He
simply bugged the hell out of you. So who will be next? Should we take
wagers?

No problems on my end. It has been 5 months since anyone has
baselessly called me a liar and not a single post of mine on any forum has
been deleted and none of the moderators have trolled or harassed me.
Quite refreshing to participate in adult discussions with people who
behave like adults and not being trolled by the moderator. I see things
haven’t improved here.

Actually I would say this is your niche, your little kingdom. I participate on
many diverse forums and Facebook groups on a variety of topics with
zero issues. EB is quite unique and you as a forum moderator are truly
one of a kind!

I think this is a good time to make a distinction between a lie and hate
speech. Hate speech leads to violence at this time in our nation. Paul
Pelosi was attacked because of accumulated hate speech. Telling lies
about Paul Pelosi after the attack cannot help but generate the same hate
as it is a continuance of hate speech.
You slander me here and you do not get kicked off the boards. It is up to
me to either stand up for myself or let it ride. But if you turn your slander
into hateful speech against me, then that would create a different
situation. I am trusting that you will do no such thing.
