since you are too lazy to try to figure it our yourself, here are some clues... some people are open to learn/change...some are not...it is a mechanical determination based on many factors such as education, upbringing, etc...it has always been part of the purpose of these boards to help people who wish to evolve, or "better" themselves, and are able, to do so...some people are not open to that at all, they are mechanically set in their ways...but others can still use them for their own growth...they have value if it can be perceived and used...obviously you have a tendency to be full of yourself...so there is an opportunity to reflect on that...everyone is unique...every situation is unique...although both can look quite similar in many cases...we are all much more alike than different...and that sameness is in general not much to crow about...hope this helps answer your question... |

Hi Lee, Sure, I get that. bopp has been trolling me with his petty one line insults since before Earthboppin on the old boards. But that really isn't that big a deal. What has changed is that he used to keep other people in control. Personal attacks by anyone weren't allowed. He also didn't use to randomly delete my posts or call me a liar over and over. I've been coming here a long time and while I've taken some breaks it is a hard habit to break. Still I'm puzzled as to the changes in ryan with the blatant disrespect for others and allowing all the personal attacks. Very unlike what this forum was like for so many years. Possibly age or heath are weighing heavily on him. I have several friends who are close to my age who are just cranky old bastards. I also understand this is primarily Bopp's territory and it is "his" choice as to decide which direction it will go... ...we are "tolerated guests" and for the most part, participating here at "his" discretion. It's probably a lot easier to work within his somewhat distorted sense of reality than to "reinvent" his "wheel" which he has fine tuned for over 20 years at no cost to us. Personally, I have a few other projects in life I want to perfect before time runs out and I prefer to enjoy whatever "freedom" of use and access to Boppin is remaining rather than be denied that privilege. Geologist Jim Berkland was suspended from a California Government Geology Job when he made a prediction that a major quake would occur during the 1989 World Series in the Oakland Bay Area. It hit and the government told him to not make any more predictions. Now that he is retired, he publicly states quake windows. Mr. Berkland uses tidal flooding tables based upon Lunar Perigee (time when the moon is closest to earth to affect more gravitational pull on the earth). I wonder if Jim Berkland was "guilty" of passing on "false information"? I wonder if "God" considered it a problem to worry much about? Even the best make mistakes, and the very best never give up when ridiculed for their lack of science in a quickly evolving world. |

...I think the interesting "conversation" that may be "new" to the table is the "art" of "nuclear war"... ...it's kind of a "latter day" variation of the ancient dinosaur event but updated for the human situation. Probably a conversation we should reconcile sooner than later. |
