Subject: Your post IS there, just not showing up without clearing history

Boards even slower than usual to refresh correctly.

Just a general comment. I'm assuming since I see
Dan's post twice here a full day apart, that means
he didn't see his old post and reposted (which means
he's having the same issue I'm having), but I could
be wrong.

I notice elsewhere for my own post it's not showing
unless I go either to the screen that shows newest
posts, or if I clear history altogether. On the
computer where I haven't cleared history, the post I
made yesterday still isn't showing.

This has always been an issue on this forum for me
since I came here, but usually the lag time is only
a couple of hours before it refreshes on its own and
I don't need to do the workarounds. It's the same
thing others have commented in in the past about
posts not showing up when they actually are in fact
there.

I'm not posting as a complaint, if something could
be done it would have been done by now. Just a
general comment to the community that your post is
likely there, it's just that the site doesn't
refresh at the rate other sites do and it's taking
even longer than it normally does the last couple of
days.

If it DOES help from a tech standpoint (I doubt it,
I know my info and knowledge about how these things
work is pretty scant, and thus I'm not sure if info
is relevant or not): I'm using Chrome, haven't
cleared history (because I'm working on another
project that would be inconvenienced by clearing it
at this time). Posts show up as they should on my
phone, after clearing history.

It resolves if I just delete all cookies instead of clearing history, which is the
other option. I use Safari so I'm not sure if you have that option.

But it's the cookies I need for the current project
I'm working on unless I want to deal with being logged
out of the subscription site I need.

And yes, it does work when I can conveniently do it.

Try selectively deleting cookies, and leave the ones you want to retain

Or try a different browser.

Mostly posting so that others are reminded of the work
around. :-)
